A streamer says Microsoft permanently deleted his 25-year-old Microsoft account after it was hacked, locking him out of everything connected to it. According to him, hackers took over the account and changed the recovery details. Even after contacting Microsoft support and providing evidence of ownership, he says he was told the account could not be recovered and was eventually deleted. The account included: - 25 years of Xbox history - Thousands of dollars’ worth of digital games and purchases - Outlook emails - OneDrive files and family photos, including baby pictures of his son - Other Microsoft services tied to the account

Microsoft DELETED my account AND OneDrive!!?? After ACKNOWLEDGING that I’m the owner of the account and that it was compromised??? 25 fucking years of data, thousands of euros spended on games?? PlayStation hasn’t earned any goodwill this generation. - Less exclusives than ever - Closing Bluepoint - Buying Bungie/laying off most staff - Concord’s historic failure - Fairgames/Break In’s impending doom - Canceled The Last of Us online - Increased subscription prices - Increased console prices - All in live service push - Pulled out of PC releases - Horrific security/account protection - Closure of PS3/Vita digital storefronts There was never going to be a scenario where people were happy about the discontinuation of discs, but Sony hasn’t even earned the goodwill to sustain such a decision. There is less reasons than ever to lock yourself into a deeply flawed ecosystem that takes advantage of their consumers, ignores them and gouges for every last cent. The only thing motivating PlayStation’s decisions are the lack of competition and the arrogance that comes with it. Their entire company depends on their gaming division for success. With the rise in costs and the continued allure of PC’s and Steam this could all go south for them very quickly. The PS4 momentum is gone, it’s time to start digging your way out of the relatively small (so far) hole you’ve put yourself in.

With everything going on in video games I've never seen so much gaslighting and manipulated statistics then actually accountability from gaming developers and bots . Feels like they learned it from politicians or just narcissistic personality showing intentions.

It's looking like it, I honestly can't imagine spending $1000+ on a console where I'll need to pay a $80 per year subscription just to access the internet I already paid for + Paying $80-100 for digital licenses from one store. May as well switch to my PC full-time by that point
