NCHC goes 4-0 in the regional semifinals. If the committee had any guts, we’d have a realistic shot at an all-NCHC Frozen Four. Instead, the best the conference can do is 3-1 this weekend.
Either way, damn good opening round for the best conference in college hockey.

@QHockeyBlog Yep, the depth of this team is its strength. I’m confident that we’ll see more responsible play in the d-zone as we saw far too many missed assignments in the slot against Merrimack.
Honestly Verhoeff is the one we need to see a cleaner game from the most.

This is going to be by far Quinnipiac’s toughest opponent of the season. I have a ton of respect for NoDak and the job Dane Jackson has done this year. This is a really good matchup on paper of two of the highest scoring teams in the country who are both really good defensively.

@QHockeyBlog my brother was a college athlete; track, to be precise. He was even on a bit of a scholarship. However, it was in his third year that the men's track program was cut, because of budget/Title IX. I don't remember if it was effective immediately or not, but it didn't go over well.

@dfwchaser @JordanHallWX Well, if you are stuck in your car, they say to be as level to the ditch as possible. As a last resort, go lay flat in it. It's not the best, as they can fill up with water. A chaser had to take cover in one while chasing El Reno.

@JordanHallWX Agree, but some people take this the wrong way. Was watching In the Eye of the Storm this weekend and a guy saw a tornado in distance and said his car was a dangerous place and pulled over to lie in a ditch. He got hit with debris. He should have just made a u turn.

My thoughts
- first and foremost this is a joke the 1 seeds aren’t hosting on campus
- South Dakota regional is a gauntlet
- Need colorado regional to end in a WMU-Denver OT game
- Interested to see what happens in Worcester. If MSU gets Trey Augistines best they will be tough to beat.
- People of Albany got lucky and are gonna be able to see some future NHL stars
- this is going to be an awesome tournament
