I was unnerved by statements being made by people involved in the Iran file suggesting that if the ayatollah could change his ways, we might be able to reach an agreement with the regime. Anyone who believes that the ayatollah is remotely interested in changing his ways does not understand the history of the ayatollah and the murderous regime. That’s the same as believing someone could have done a deal with Hitler. They were wrong then about Hitler, and they are wrong now about the ayatollah. Adolf Hitler wanted a master race governed by the superiority of the Aryans. The ayatollah is a religious Nazi who wants a world religion that he governs. Both are sick. You cannot do a deal with evil. You have to confront it. In this case, that means standing behind the people of Iran.

Just received this sad and tragic video from the exiled Iranian crown prince @PahlaviReza and his team. These brave, unarmed souls who gave their lives in the cause of freedom by challenging a fanatical regime truly represent the best of humanity. Their willingness to risk their lives for freedom should inspire us all. All red lines have been trampled on by the ayatollah and his henchmen. It is time.
