Lost 45 pounds. A day from death. His first child died at 10 weeks old. His first rocket exploded. Falcon 1, flight one. Burned on the pad. His second rocket exploded. His third rocket exploded. The last of his money was nearly gone. Tesla nearly went bankrupt in 2008. The closest he ever came to a nervous breakdown. Both companies almost died on the same Christmas Eve. He was sued by investors. Mocked by the people who built cars before him. His childhood heroes, the astronauts who inspired him, testified against his company to Congress. The Cybertruck window shattered on live stage in front of the world. He overpaid for Twitter by his own admission and watched its value collapse. He was beaten unconscious as a child and thrown down a flight of stairs. He has said he goes to sleep alone and it kills him. He failed in public, over and over, for thirty years. He is the richest man in the history of the world. The difference was never the absence of failure. It was the refusal to stop after it.

After Japan battled the Netherlands to a 2-2 draw, the Japanese fans stayed behind and cleaned up every single piece of trash from their section at Dallas Stadium after the game. You LOVE to see it 🇯🇵

I remember going to the game at the Garden when Clyde came back as a Cav. I remember watching as a kid Willis walking out. I remember Ewings Hart like bounce off the back rim and I remember Charles Smith not being able to be aggressive enough to score a put back. I WILL REMEMBER THIS!

The Knicks are an example of smart, courageous team building. Firing Thibs for Mike Brown was a ballsy decision by the Knicks. One of many that got them to this point. RJ & Quickley for OG, trading a 1st for Hart, signing Brunson to a big deal, the Randle for KAT deal, sending a ton of picks for Bridges, and moves around the edges like adding Shamet and Alvarado. Some teams are built through the draft. The Knicks were built through masterful trades and signings. Big time credit to Leon Rose and that New York front office.

SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity. The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist. Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives. Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation. Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears. Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction. We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.

The man who called the 2008 housing collapse just made a prediction about Elon Musk that is hard to ignore (Save this). Steve Eisman, the Big Short investor says he fully expects Musk to use the SpaceX IPO stock price to buy Tesla and merge both companies into one giant entity called X. Tesla's earnings have declined for four consecutive years. The EV business, Eisman argues, is not structurally attractive but rather is capital intensive, it is highly competitive, and China is producing electric vehicles at costs Tesla simply cannot match. The issue with using SpaceX stock to buy Tesla is precisely what it sounds like. SpaceX is about to list as what would be the largest IPO in history, targeting a valuation around $1.77 trillion, with a thesis built on orbital compute, Starlink and the future of AI infrastructure. Tesla is a car company with four years of declining earnings, competing on price against manufacturers who have a structural cost advantage. Combining those two businesses would force SpaceX shareholders to absorb Tesla's problems, its margin pressure, its China exposure, its capital requirements at the exact moment SpaceX is trying to tell the cleanest possible growth story to public markets.
