The Sheriff’s Central Division POP (Problem Oriented Policing) Team and HOT (Homeless Outreach Team) responded to ongoing concerns from businesses and residents in the area of 45th Avenue and 37th Street in South Sacramento, related to illegal encampments, abandoned property, cars, trash, and debris. Deputies contacted numerous individuals, offering services, resources, and housing assistance. All assistance was declined. Following those efforts, the teams cleared the area and removed debris to address the public health and safety concerns impacting the surrounding community. This is a snapshot of the work our POP and HOT teams do every day, addressing quality-of-life issues and restoring impacted neighborhoods.

Got a call from another inmate in Maine women's prison today. She's a sex trafficking victim who feels 'traumatized' at being forced to share a room with 6'1", 310-pound male murderer Andrew/Andrea Balcer. Another inmate told her that Balcer stroked her & another woman's hair while they were sleeping. He's also made sexual remarks and pulled up his shirt while bouncing up and down and telling the women to "look at my t*ts". Why won't the office of Maine governor @JanetMillsforME respond to requests for a meeting so that New England Women's Solidarity can advocate for these vulnerable women? @TheMaineWire @PressHerald
