Mehdi, I genuinely don't understand why you think in this binary way. That in order to be allies with someone on an issue, you have to vouch for that person in their entirety and every policy position they have. No, you just have to be an ally on that issue. Martin Luther King, Jr. became allies with Lyndon Johnson, who was often viciously racist behind the scenes and got countless people killed in Vietnam. Should King have canceled Johnson instead of working with him to pass the Civil Rights Act? If you're house is on fire and someone comes with a hose, you don't ask him about what his policy is on the carried interest loophole, you thank him for the help. If you hadn't noticed, Israel lit our house on fire.

You're working for the US propaganda machine using a faux American accent. Which big English elites are you talking about, if they don't include you? This is really insulting coming from a Kenyan journalist whose peers supported the evangelical talking points of CBC. They were so effective, that to this day, ordinary Kenyans who support CBC simply repeat what they heard in mainstream media. Whatever Kenyans know about the US is what they get from Fox News and CNN. At #MaishaKazini we've tried to put out content on the US outside of the duopoly (or the two b--- cheeks of the same a--, as the folks at @IMIXWHATILIKE call it), but we don't have the reach of Larry and mainstream media houses. Ignorance and controlled information are what Larry is calling "conservatism." But look at the Kenyan public's position on the imperialist escapades in Haiti, Gaza and Iran. I would hardly call that "conservative."

Therefore, • Food: Nutrition, Agriculture, Medicine. Humans must eat, and food can promote or threaten their survival. • Clothing: Fashion and design, textile, footwear, image and branding. The textile industry is one of the oldest, and it will be here forever. • Shelter: Building and construction. Masonry, Plumbing, Electricals, Roofing, Sanitation, Painting etc. • Reproduction: Any skill that offers a solution to sexual health, pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, and child care. • Security, Safety and protection: Advancement of humanity, knowledge management, the use of technology to fix problems, Police Officers, Military. These are the basic human needs. Once you earn a skill that promises to promote these needs, you become a person of value. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Your Excellency, allow us to comment on this post in which we are of the view that it has missed a few important chapters of international law: 1. Aggression originates from the U.S. and the Israeli regime use of regional water, air and land territories: Based on Article 3(f) of the UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 (XXIX) (Definition of Aggression, 14 December 1974), “The action of a State in allowing its territory, which it has placed at the disposal of another State, to be used by that other State for perpetrating an act of aggression against a third State” constitutes aggression. For months, we had warned neighboring countries—particularly those along the Persian Gulf—that any aggression from their soil against Iran would be met with our inherent right to self‑defense. Despite their denials, numerous attacks against Iran have been launched from U.S. bases in these countries, a small example being the downing of three military aircraft in Kuwait. 2. Violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter: The United States and the Israeli regime have violated Article 2(4) , which requires all Members to “refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.” Their military aggression against Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is the root cause of the current crisis. 3. Iran’s response is lawful, legitimate self‑defense: Our response has been strictly in exercise of our inherent right to self‑defense, consistent with international law and the principles of proportionality, necessity, and discrimination. Operations have targeted only military bases and assets of the aggressors. After these military installations were struck, enemy military personnel and forces fled into hotels and civilian centers, taking innocent civilians as hostages—a gross violation of the law of armed conflict. 4. The Strait of Hormuz: prior freedom of navigation & current restrictions: Before the U.S.‑Israeli regime military aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Strait of Hormuz was open to all countries. Any current disruption to Persian Gulf security or maritime traffic is a direct consequence of that aggression, and full responsibility lies with the aggressors. As the coastal state, Iran has introduced necessary restrictions to ensure safe passage. Vessels belonging to non‑belligerent countries may conduct innocent passage in coordination with Iran. Clearly, vessels of belligerent parties—especially the U.S. and the terrorist Israeli regime, as well as those serving their interests—cannot use this waterway. 5. Call on all free and independent nations: The Islamic Republic of Iran expects all free and independent nations to stand on the right side of history and condemn the aggressors. We reaffirm our readiness for diplomatic solutions based on mutual respect and international law, but will not hesitate to defend our sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security. Thank you Excellency for paying due consideration the the above facts.

The coordinated campaign against me, orchestrated from abroad and conducted in English, is clear in its false motives. Its tools and methods are evident, and the responses of pro-Iran and pro-Brotherhood voices—along with their insults—reveal clear retaliatory motives. None of this will deter me from my firm stance in defending my country and the Gulf states, and in rejecting the aggressive Iranian attacks that target the Gulf more than they target Israel. I have made it clear in multiple posts that opposing this aggression does not mean I am siding with Israel; we also reject its aggression against Palestine and Gaza.
