@SawyerMerritt Rivian and Ford are providing free CCS->NACS adapters to their customers, while Tesla is charging (checks notes) $250 for the NACS->CCS adapters. Opening the SC network to may someday lead to more network buildout, but in the meantime Tesla's not taking care of its customer base

No, Tesla opening its Supercharger network to non-Tesla EVs and making it a public standard is a net positive for Tesla owners, Tesla investors, and non-Tesla EV owners. The extra revenue generated by non-Tesla EVs charging allows Tesla to invest more in new charging locations. It also gives non-Tesla EV owners a taste of the Tesla ownership experience. At the end of the day, Tesla making their connector an open standard accelerates Tesla's mission.
