Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Operation Cold Winter’s Night Cracks Down on Human Trafficking Last night, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office conducted a targeted prostitution sting operation, resulting in the arrest of 26 sex buyers attempting to buy sex services from undercover Deputies posing as sex workers. More importantly, 2 victims of Human Trafficking were rescued, 2 illegal firearms were recovered, and 2 new Human Trafficking Cases were opened. This operation was part of our ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and reduce the demand for illegal sex work in our community. Human trafficking remains a serious issue that preys on the most vulnerable, and we remain committed in the fight against it. Thank you to our partners at Family Justice Center, Drive4Impact, California Department of Justice, and Central Valley Tow for helping make this operation such a huge success.

Today’s #CityLearningTour! Went out w/ @DCRSacramento to X St Navigation Center, a Motel 6 that acts as an emergency shelter for families, & Stockton Blvd Safe Stay Community Shelter.   We ended the day w/ @SHRAhousing, which aims to provide affordable housing opportunities.
