Driving Citizen-Centric Governance through Technology Inaugurated ‘TECH – Wari 2.0: Maha Tech Learning Week’ at Mantralaya, Mumbai today. The ultimate purpose of technology is to make the lives of citizens easier. The citizen is our true ‘Vitthal’ and Tech Wari is dedicated to serving them. Alongside technology, human sensitivity, emotional resilience and self-reflection remain essential for effective governance. Through the General Administration Department’s ‘Tech Wari’ initiative, a roadmap for citizen-centric governance is being implemented, focusing on making governance more efficient, responsive and accessible through technology. Inspired by the consistency of the traditional Wari, this initiative underscores the need for continuous learning, with literacy now extending to understanding and using Artificial Intelligence. Departments are already delivering impactful work using AI. With the right approach, Maharashtra can emerge as a consulting leader for other states, with continuous upskilling being key to staying future-ready.
