Drove from Ahilya Nagar to Aurangabad bypass… and the road is still in bad condition. This is supposed to be a state highway! What’s stopping the government from building proper roads? #BadRoads #Maharashtra #AhmednagarAurangabad

Just drove Pune to Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) Took 3 hrs 41 mins. State highway in disappointing condition + horrible traffic at Wagholi. This is no way to travel on a supposed SH. Needs serious attention! #PuneToAhmednagar #BadRoads #Pune

🚨It’s high time @RBI must create a provision/policy of refunding pro-rata annual fee in case a credit card is devalued mid-year. So many people are paying full year annual fee with an expectation of enjoying the reward rate, benefits and features for the full year. It’s completely disappointing and unethical to see such devaluations. Retweet if you agree! Use hashtag #stopMidyearDevaluation

I just narrowly escaped losing around ₹76,000. I had placed an order for a 5-gram gold coin worth ₹76,000 around 4:00 PM at Swiggy Instamart. Since it was a high-value order, I was actively tracking it. That’s when I noticed something unusual. The tracking location was stuck at one place for almost 10 minutes, and then suddenly it updated. That didn’t feel normal, so I decided to be extra cautious. 🚩 Delivery moment where things started going wrong When the delivery agent arrived, he immediately called me and asked for the OTP. I refused. I told him clearly: “I will verify the product first, then only I will give OTP.” I opened the outer packaging and could see a transparent box with something that looked like a gold coin inside. But he kept insisting: “OTP first. You can’t open it before that.” That made me suspicious. I told him: “This is not my first order. I’ve done this multiple times. I always verify first.” He still refused. So I said: “Take it back. I will cancel the order.” He left out from my villa. 🚨 Things got more suspicious after that Immediately, I contacted customer support and requested cancellation. But here’s where it gets strange. Even after he left, the tracking still showed the parcel as being at my location, not moving at all. Support told me: “The delivery agent is still at your location, waiting.” But in reality, he wasn’t properly delivering. Instead: He parked his bike near my house, tracking always shows at delivery. Went outside community by walk with the parcel Came back after around 45 minutes This raised a serious red flag. ⚠️ Second interaction — even more suspicious When he returned, I again refused to give OTP. I told him: “Hand it over to the warehouse. I will cancel from backend.” He said: “Cancellation is not possible” That didn’t make sense. I pushed back strongly: “Leave my place, I won't be giving any OTP” He couldn’t give a clear answer. & Left as I gave no choice at 06:10. 🔥 Final Episode Got a call from warehouse, at 06:15 Pm Warehouse team tried to question why I was rejecting, but I clearly stated: “The product have been tampered with. I don’t trust this delivery.,” ✅ Outcome After three hours drama, the order was finally cancelled, and the refund was initiated. 🔒 Final line You don’t lose money when the scam starts. You lose it the moment you share the OTP without certainty

🚨Big News: The RBI might soon allow bank account portability, enabling you to switch banks while keeping your same account number. You could move your entire banking relationship without the hassle of updating salary details or recurring payments manually. This move aims to improve service quality by making it easier for customers to exit banks if they are unhappy with the banking experience.

Hack: Accelerated HDFC Points + Lower Fees via HP Pay Buying brand Gift Vouchers (GVs) through the HP Pay app using an HDFC credit card currently codes on statements as "GyFTR via SmartBuy". This triggers the standard SmartBuy reward multipliers but with significantly lower convenience fees and better upfront discounts than the main SmartBuy portal! Effective value back by Card (on Vouchers): 🔹 Infinia - 16.6% (5X Points) 🔹 Diners Club Black (DCB/M) & Biz Black - 10% (3X Points) 🔹 Regalia Gold / Diners Privilege - 6.6% (5X Points) 🔹 Other Cards - 5% Cashback The Math: HP Pay vs. SmartBuy 🔹 Amazon Shopping Vouchers (ASV) - 0% Fee vs 4.13% Fee 🔹 Amazon Pay (APay) Vouchers - 2.36% Fee vs 4.13% Fee 🔹 Zepto Vouchers - 2% Discount vs 0% Discount 🔹 Blinkit Vouchers - 1% Discount vs 0% Discount 🔹 BigBasket Vouchers - 1% Discount vs 0% Discount 🔹 HP Pay fuel Vouchers also available for Fuel, need to take care of caps. How to replicate: - Open the HP Pay app and go to Insta Vouchers. - Select your vouchers and complete the payment with your HDFC Credit Card. Important Notes: ➡️ Shared Caps - This shares your standard monthly SmartBuy bonus limits (e.g., 15,000 points for Infinia, 10,000 for Biz Black Metal). ➡️ Test First - Merchant routing can be patched or changed without notice. Always do a small test transaction to ensure it codes correctly on your unbilled statement before making large purchases.

Most people in India pay ₹20,000–₹80,000 every year for health insurance. But here’s a wild truth: A lot of people don’t actually know what their policy covers. Or worse….What it doesn’t. @coversure_in solves that: policycheck.coversure.in Let me explain this🧵

The gap between advertised rewards and real returns has never been wider. 📉🛑 I’ve audited India’s "Big 4" so you don’t have to: not just reward rates, but the spend required to unlock caps, redemption ceilings, excluded category limits, and the real renewal math. 💳 Axis Magnus Burgundy [Points Printing Machine] 💳 HDFC Infinia [The Crown Jewel] 💳 ICICI Emeralde Private [The Silent Powerhouse] 💳 HSBC Premier [The Consistent Performer] 100% data. 0% BS. Here’s the side-by-side cheatsheet of what earns, where it caps, and what’s quietly excluded. 🧵👇

This might look like a fake story… But it’s not. At a family dinner recently, I casually asked a relative if he uses a credit card. He said yes. I asked him which one. He showed me a very basic card he has had since 2018. Nothing premium. Hardly any rewards. The kind people just keep and forget about. Out of curiosity, I asked him how he manages his payments. He said very casually, “I just pay the minimum due every month. Someone told me that’s enough.” I thought he was joking. He wasn’t. He is a government employee with a stable salary. His wife earns too. They are not struggling financially. He spends a decent amount every month and uses the card regularly. But for more than a year, he had only been paying the minimum due because someone once told him that it is fine and there is nothing to worry about. I asked him to open his banking app. We went through his recent statements together. I showed him the interest charged last month. Then the month before that. Then another one. Every month, the interest amount was increasing. Slowly but steadily. The total outstanding was not really coming down. Even the minimum due was creeping up little by little because interest kept getting added. Then I saw the interest rate on the card. It was more than 50 percent per year. He had absolutely no idea. He genuinely believed that if the bank is asking for a minimum amount and he is paying that amount, then he is doing the right thing. No one had explained to him that minimum due only keeps your account from becoming overdue. It does not protect you from high interest. The rest of the balance keeps attracting heavy charges every single month. I told him to clear the full outstanding as soon as possible. Not because credit cards are bad. But because they are very expensive if you do not understand how they work. What stayed with me was this. He is educated. He earns well. He is responsible in every other part of life. Yet one small piece of wrong advice could have cost him a huge amount over time. It made me think about how much basic financial education is still missing around us in India. Many people use financial products without fully understanding them. They trust what someone casually says. They assume the system will not harm them. Credit cards are not dangerous by themselves. Lack of awareness is. If you use a credit card, please check your statement. Look at the interest rate. Understand what minimum due actually means. And if possible, always pay the full amount. Sometimes the most expensive mistakes do not look like mistakes in the beginning. They just look normal.

⚠️ HDFC Account Holders - This Tiny Detail Decides If You Pay Penalty Every Month Quick question - do you actually know your account’s MAB requirement? Most people don’t. And that’s exactly why penalties happen. 👀 One month you assume it’s zero MAB. The next, you’re unsure if it’s ₹10K… or ₹25K. And that’s where the confusion begins. Call customer care, wait on hold, and still get no clear answer? Or send a mail and wait two working days for a reply? And even then, the information is rarely very clear. Here’s what most people don’t realise - the information is already available inside the HDFC mobile app. Just… not where you would normally look. Here’s how to find it - - Open the new HDFC Mobile Banking app - Tap Manage A/C on the top right of the home screen - Scroll slightly and check the message shown under balances If your account is zero-MAB, it explicitly says - “Relax! You don’t need to maintain average balance in your account.” And if it’s a MAB account, this section shows your required balance. That’s it. 🔥 No calls. No mails. No follow-ups. Extremely useful if you want to avoid penalty charges simply because you lost track of the exact threshold - which, in reality, happens more often than we realise. 🤝🏻 Save this. Bookmark it for later. 🔖 Share it with anyone who has a HDFC account. That said, help me out here - I mostly see zero-MAB accounts in my circle, across family and friends. If you do have a MAB account, what exactly does it show on your app? Reply and let me know.👇🏻

Never accept a counteroffer—even if it’s a 100% hike. Being in HR, I’ve seen this play out more times than you think. A candidate I was hiring for was earning 100,000. He got a new offer of 170,000, a solid jump. But within 15 minutes of the offer letter hitting his inbox, he backed out. His current company dangled a 190,000 counter-offer and he accepted it immediately. Fast forward 4 months… The same candidate messaged me again. His company had laid him off and replaced him with a cheaper resource. His message started with: Hi sir, I’m really sorry… do you have any openings? This is exactly why I keep saying this: 👉 A counter-offer is not a reward. It’s a strategy to buy time until they find someone cheaper. 👉 Loyalty doesn’t magically increase with money. 👉 If they valued you, they wouldn’t wait until your resignation to pay you fairly. Please don’t fall for counter-offers. It looks like a win… until it isn’t.

How Airport & Taxi Aggregator Apps Are Looting Us in India The Mumbai Airport Experience - Fare paid: ~₹800 for a 4.5 km ride from Mumbai T2 to home (XL category). - Cars provided: Mostly Ertiga or Innova, often poorly maintained - Effective rate: ~₹180/km - Why? - Airport tolls levied on taxi apps. - Parking fees for non‑commercial vehicles (even for self pick-up) - Constant surge pricing at the airport Result: High fares, inferior cars, questionable cleanliness, and poor service. The Vietnam Comparison - Da Nang Airport → Ba Na Hills (23 km): 209k VND (~₹750) - Hanoi Airport → Pullman Hanoi (28 km): 172k VND (~₹600) - Cars provided: Toyota Fortuner or Vinfast VF 9 – clean, spacious, well‑maintained - Without coupons ~₹1,000–1,100 total - Effective rate: ~₹35–40/km Result: Despite longer distances I got better cars, cleaner service and lower per‑km cost The question is why are we getting scammed. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it except raise our voices like this.
