@TonyPiassa @ScepticalDoctor I think eating animal products is inefficient, polluting and archaic. Very soon (~200yrs), faux animal products will replace the real deal. Jesus lived in an era without calorie excess. They ate what was available and shouldn’t be criticized for their diet choices.

@ScepticalDoctor And yet Jesus ate meat and fish. In fact, one of his miracles was to provide fish to the crowd.

@BenRothenberg So; if Djokovic is granted entry and wins the tournament, is he still selfish or simply fortunate if he waited until the government ok’d entry? He could win prize money >$2mil. He should offer the $21K to Tiffon if he accepts entry. Seems like a simple solution?

With Djokovic staying in, one fewer player will get to play at #USOpen. Next into qualies would’ve been #242 Pol Martin Tiffon, who has made only $25,434 in prize money all year. The prize money for just getting into qualies, $21,000, could have meant a lot to him.

Next two players into #USOpen men's main draw are both Americans who didn't get wildcards, Stefan Kozlov and Jack Sock. They'll need players to withdraw before qualies begin on Tuesday to get in directly. Will likely withdrawal candidates Zverev, Djokovic, etc wait beyond that?

@WalshFreedom For the same amount of time I’ve been hopeful that more Republicans would join your chorus. I’ll keep doing so in hopes of saving the republic. They’ve gone bats**t crazy. Trump supporters are following the other lemmings over a cliff.

For 2 yrs, I’ve believed Trump & this Republican Party are a threat to our democracy. So for 2 yrs now, I’ve been on “Team Democrat,” helping to get Democrats elected. Not easy to do for a conservative like me, but country comes first. Liz Cheney should join team Democrat too.

@WalshFreedom It’s amazing how well Trump has mastered narcissism. He begins setting up his blame game as soon as clouds form on the horizon. Trump’s ability, with his advisers, to convince so many intelligent people of obvious lies is unsurpassed since Goebbels and Hitler joined hands.

@ScepticalDoctor Food is a living requirement that forces a choice between options. Other non-food choices are normally unforced and between two options.

@andypaughrules1 @billmaher The battle is between whole plant food (good) and all processed food, including animal products (bad). Think beans versus biscuits. Mixed veggies versus doughnuts. That’s where the obesity war is won or lost.

There’s a disturbing trend going on in America these days with rewriting science to fit ideology. We’ve gone from fat acceptance to fat celebration.

@undisputed @ShannonSharpe Agree Rice has to be greatest non-QB ever. Not too many QBs can make an argument they’re ahead of Rice on the GOAT list.

@stanley81917416 @DefenceHQ "If" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there poppet. The "need" is so that people don't start forgetting that this is just a criminal land grab and begin to accept it.. like they did in Crimea.

@ScepticalDoctor @nutrition_facts I agree with your observations, but I’m not still convinced his overall findings that the beef and dairy industries were manipulating the study data for their obvious benefit. Looking forward to your analysis of his current series.

@greenlandsharky @ScepticalDoctor @nutrition_facts It’s a great video. A perfect example of anecdotal evidence. My guess is the cigars and dairy are offset by an incredible set of genes along with overall low calorie intake and healthy lifestyle. He also emphasized “soup” was a major source of calories…”mmm good!”😋

@ScepticalDoctor The way I see it, most seed oils are ultra-processed, which is where the true problem lies. Maybe in the context of UPF, seed oils are better because everything is already out of balance. But in the context of a proper WF diet, I don't think refined seed oils offer benefits.

@ScepticalDoctor I agree seed oils are not necessarily unhealthy as foods. The problem is that ultra-processed junk food often contains high percentages of seed oil. The seed oils are often crucial to improving taste and and enabling the industrial manufacturing of ultra-processed junk food.

@RanoCeros @ScepticalDoctor Addictive refined sugars and oils for starters. It’s also the elimination in the refining process of fiber and related highly nutritional portions of plants. Animal foods are already highly refined by the animal, so contain no fiber or plants nutrients.

@RogueScientist8 @ScepticalDoctor While I see a stream of case reports & reviews indicating support for Dr Esselstyn's approach - a recent example is below (doi:10.3390/cardiogenetics12020015) I rarely see criticism in the peer-reviewed literature (& that is mainly "changing diets is hard"). I await Anna's paper.

@Alan_Watson_ @RogueScientist8 @ScepticalDoctor This has been my observation, as well. I’ve never seen a criticism that purports that Esselstyn’s diet increases heart disease or is detrimental to health. At the very least, it stabilizes artery plaque and reduces the chance of heart attack.

@Alan_Watson_ @RogueScientist8 @ScepticalDoctor Exactly. The reversal of heart disease may be controversial and questionable. Regardless, I think it’s virtually impossible to develop heart disease on Esselstyn’s diet. His diet would save millions of lives globally, reduce environmental damage and eliminate animal harm.

@ScepticalDoctor I think your criticism of WFPB advocates important. No one gets a free ride to advocate without evidence. At the same time, everyone should be aware that WFPB, in almost any form advocated, will vastly improve nutritional quality versus the SAD. That’s why I read your posts.

@WalshFreedom Why do republicans want these type of people representing them? I don’t get it. Surely there are qualified people who would share their beliefs.
