@SockCouncil If you are good enough, you are good enough. The only reason anyone objects is due to an inferiority complex.

@MartinHarris15 I have genuinely never seen a club so busy trying to turn itself into some kind of middle management whiteboard presentation on motivational skills then moan when it doesn’t translate into winning football games. Said weeks ago they wouldn’t win the title and fingers crossed ….

I saw The Clash maybe 20 times. This video is perhaps the best representation of what they were actually like. They were very exciting but also a bit clunky. Their sets never peaked. They just sort of shouted at you.

@07Simmo @jimmymcbride1 In my opinion pal Robson was twice the player. He literally carried a team and could do what scholes did but got up and down the pitch terrifying the opposition. Scholes was the best I’ve seen at what he did but Robson was a United Captain in excelsis.

@MrEvgraf I agree: I would ideally like to have an e-device that would allow me to download ebooks but also borrow and read books from archive.org, but none can do both--unless perhaps someone out there knows of one that can. But I'm not getting rid of my books.

Scrap your books, they said. Get a Kindle, they said. You'll have a whole library on one device, they said. In my brief life, I have owned records, cassettes, CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs. I have never seen a technology that didn't end up defunct or superceded. I'm keeping my books.

This is A NIGHTMARE. Amazon is bricking old Kindles, including my beloved Kindle 5 (with the side buttons). I hate the touch screen versions, I've tried them and I'm always accidentally flipping pages.

@07Simmo @CBSSportsGolazo @Carra23 All time greats are consistently so over numerous seasons not just a couple of good games or in a championship winning side. Like Arsenal supporters LFC seem to have major problems describing any player as merely good or a decent team player.

@07Simmo @ronaldobrown_98 Ditto, according to McCoist they played ok. Their keeper made 3 or 4 quality saves and they somehow avoided the most blatant penalty you will see. Be prepared for a shit fest of over hyped bollocks about glory euro nights at Anfield as a result.

I am extremely confused why the TNT commentators and pundits are somehow spinning this result positively for Liverpool??? They were outclassed all game, 0 shots on target and got footballed to death

There's no ongoing success story more baffling than that of the Sterophonics. Thirty pedestrian years of the same plodding numbers, sung in the same plodding whine by the same plodding fucking potato. Name a worse act with this long of a career. You cannot.

@iManc_ You on a wind up? The point couldn’t be any simpler. I stated a fact, that United have had larger attendances than City every single season since WW2. Your reply was this. What has Munich, which happened over a decade later, have to do with anything?

Few players could conjure up a cross as Trent Alexander-Arnold did for Kylian Mbappe against Bayern in the Bernabeu. Few could see the perfect place to put the ball for Mbappe let alone execute the pass. Alexander-Arnold could. Vision and technique. Other countries would celebrate such a talent. He’s won the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool. He now starts for Real Madrid. Yet can’t make a 36-man England squad for a couple of friendlies. Neither of which England won. Alexander-Arnold did show why the watching Thomas Tuchel has concerns about him defensively. Few expect England’s head coach to pick him in his World Cup 26. Reece James, fitness permitting, and probably Tino Livramento are Tuchel’s right-back picks. But Alexander-Arnold showed the huge reward that goes with occasional risk. His dead-ball delivery and crossing are world class. Can Tuchel really leave such a game-changing talent behind? He probably will. And there will be crunch moments in the knockout stages, late on in tight games against far more testing opposition than England swanned past in qualifying, perhaps even in a penalty shootout, when England will regret not having Alexander-Arnold's right foot to kick-start their recovery. His club-mate, Jude Bellingham, showed at the Bernabeu why he has to start at 10 for England at the World Cup. Big-game player, came on and brought more menace to Real. His strong personality, technical and physical qualities are needed in pressure situations. Tuchel has exceptional options at 10, and Morgan Rogers is a Tuchel favourite, but Bellingham is world class. He has to start. #ENG #RMCF #RMABAY
