I’ll say it again: The destruction being wreaked on Lebanon by the Israeli invasion is not getting anywhere near the attention it deserves…
Idrees Ali@idreesali114
March 31 (Reuters) - Israel will destroy all homes in Lebanese villages near the border and 600,000 people who fled the south will not be allowed home until northern Israel is secure, the defence minister said on Tuesday, vowing to inflict Gaza-like destruction in the area.

@MidthunJan @janrosenow Coal but increasingly solar and wind and some nuclear with storage increasing too
English

@janrosenow How do you think electricity is generated? Coal. Electrify is an energy bearer, not a source.
English

@janrosenow @Fred_Langlois_ Coal is still king in China although peak coal is on the horizon.

@JonesGashner @janrosenow Google primary energy to see why this chart isn't what you think it is

Why is US chicken so cheap? One trick: our factory farms don't remove waste between flocks. New chicks are placed on years of built-up manure, feathers, and the remains of dead birds from previous flocks.
In Europe, this is illegal. Farms must remove all litter and lay fresh bedding before every new flock. The US has no such rule.
In parts of Mississippi and the Delmarva Peninsula, some chicken houses haven't been fully cleaned out in 10+ years.
The result: US chickens get necrotic ulcers on their feet from standing in wet, ammonia-soaked litter — and chemical burns on their chests from lying in the waste they live on.
And you get slightly cheaper 'all-natural' chicken.

Rabbits, a favourite Easter icon, have a desperately short life as the 2nd most industrially farmed species in EU.
The majority, in caged farming systems with little space, cant stretch out, sit with ears erect or get up on haunches.
Some can’t even perform a single hop 🐇 #WakeUpWorld #EndTheCageAge #EndFactoryFarming

We love them so much 💕
We’ve had a few enquirers for a home but still talking long term care ☺️

El Gobierno de España condena la pena de muerte contra palestinos que acaba de aprobar el parlamento de Israel. Se trata de una medida asimétrica que no se aplicaría a los israelíes que cometieran los mismos delitos.
Mismo crimen, distinta pena.
Eso no es justicia. Es un paso más hacia el apartheid.
El mundo no puede callar.

Joint statement by 🇩🇪, 🇫🇷 , 🇮🇹 & 🇬🇧 on Israel's Death Penalty Bill.
“The death penalty is an inhumane and degrading form of punishment without any deterring effect. This is why we oppose the death penalty, whatever the circumstances around the world.”

When People Care Enough….
A man in Gaza has dedicated his life to rescuing abandoned dogs. Amid the many challenges faced in the Gaza Strip-including conflict, housing shortages, power cuts, and limited access to fresh water
—one man has committed himself to helping the most vulnerable: stray dogs. Saeed el Aer, known as the "Palestinian Doctor Dolittle," has spent years walking the streets of Gaza to feed, gain the trust of, and rescue dozens of dogs that would otherwise face certain death.
With the help of volunteers, he founded the Sulala Association for Animal Care, providing veterinary treatment and a safe environment on a 0.2-hectare farm in Zahra. Saeed has invested thousands of euros in medical bills and the farm's upkeep, creating a sanctuary where dogs live freely and receive care. The animals recognize him immediately, running to greet him whenever he arrives.
The farm has become a community where residents feed, visit, and even adopt the dogs. Each adoption represents hope, always accompanied by a promise to feed, water, and treat the animals kindly.
In a region marked by hardship, Saeed's work demonstrates that compassion can be a form of resistance. His dedication not only saves lives but inspires the community to treat animals with respect and care, showing that-empathy can create hope even in the most difficult circumstances.
Thank you for caring Saeed 🙏.

95% of those executed by Apartheid South Africa were Black
Israel has now passed a law that will impose executions which will be 100% Palestinian & in the occupied territories
The argument about whether Israel operates an apartheid regime is now over
It does

Israel’s parliament has passed a controversial bill that seeks to impose the death penalty on Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis in acts of terror, but not on Jewish Israelis who kill Palestinians in similar circumstances. ft.trib.al/iabissb
