Drafting of the Youth Legislative Agenda 2026/31 Commences. With Fellow Youth MPs, I joined Stakeholders led by Minister of youth and Children Hon @MercyLakiskis, The National Youth Council and Development partners including @SensitiseUg in brainstorming what the Youth Legislative priorities should be in the 2026-2031 period. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.

Those who talk about reforms and the economy must first tell us their contribution to the existence and continuity of the NRM. When there was hostility against NRM supporters in Kampala, Gen. MK formed groups under the MK movement to instill confidence and defend them. The intimidation immediately stopped. Do the “reformists” know this?, They can’t even win in their own localities. And we know how some of them defrauded farmers in Nyabushozi, took their milk and refused to PAY. Is that the “reformists” they are talking about? Rwaboogo, answer this!

Yesterday marked the beginning of a defining journey as we officially launched the development of the Youth Legislative Agenda (2026–2031), a bold commitment to transform the aspirations of Uganda’s young people into meaningful legislation, stronger parliamentary oversight, and responsive national investments. The Youth Legislative Agenda will serve as a key instrument to operationalize the National Youth Manifesto 2026–2031, ensuring that the voices, priorities, and aspirations of young people under body of @NYCofUganda are not only captured but translated into concrete laws, policies, programmes, and budgets. To ensure alignment with Uganda’s national development priorities, the Agenda is being anchored on key frameworks, including: 📈 NDP IV & the Tenfold Growth Strategy 📜 NRM Manifesto 2026/27–2030/31 ⚖️ Charter for Fiscal Responsibility We extend our sincere appreciation to @MercyLakiskis , Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, for gracing the launch and for her continued leadership in championing youth empowerment, inclusion, and meaningful youth participation in national development Special appreciation also goes to our valued partners @SensitiseUg ,@FarajaAfricaFdn @NimdUganda , @NationalSIGUg @Youth_TJN @reachahand and @Mglsd_UG for their unwavering support, technical expertise, and commitment to amplifying youth voices and strengthening youth-led solutions. The National Executive Committee of the National Youth Council, together with Youth Members of Parliament and our development partners; @reachahanduganda, @farajaAfrica, @NIMD and @SensitizeUganda, are currently attending a strategic workshop at Africana Hotel. The workshop is convened to officially launch the Roadmap for the Development of the Youth Legislative Agenda 2026-2031. This Agenda will outline the key policy and legislative priorities for young people in Uganda for the next 5 years. We will share key resolutions and the plan for Regional consultations as we develop the Agenda together.

I joined the Hon. Minister @Tumukunde_ for a high-level courtesy call Meeting with the @UNFPA delegation, beautifully led by Country Representative @KristineBlokhus. We engaged in fruitful deliberations on scaling youth empowerment, championing gender equality, and cementing our collective commitment to human capital development as a cornerstone for socio-economic growth. Our profound appreciation to @UNFPA for their unwavering investment in Uganda's young people. Together, we are crafting a legacy of resilience and opportunity for generations to come.

Earlier today, I Had the Opportunity to represent the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Youth Affairs at the Second day of the @NYCofUganda Induction by @UNICEFUganda. I thank @UNICEFUganda, @Mglsd_UG & the @PDMSecretariat for creating Spaces where YOUNG leaders are empowered with knowledge to steer our communities in the right direction.

I had the honour of being part of the Government delegation led by Her Excellency the Vice President, @jessica_alupo, together with Cabinet ministers, on our visit to Bulange. It was a very constructive engagement with the Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. @cpmayiga, and his team. The @BugandaKingdom_ expressed readiness to collaborate with the @GovUganda in the key areas of health, education, agriculture, financial literacy, and environmental protection. The Katikkiro rightly stressed the urgent need to fight CORRUPTION; Starting from the highest offices, as it is the biggest obstacle to efficient service delivery and national transformation. I thank the President H.E @KagutaMuseveni for enabling collaboration between the Central Government and Cultural Institutions, and this will undoubtedly accelerate sustainable development and shared prosperity for all Ugandans.
