Yesterday was Alumni Demo Day at @ycombinator. Hard to believe how fast this batch has flown by. It was energizing to present Logical to the YC community and meet so many incredible alumni who’ve walked this path before us. Demo Day is tomorrow… can’t wait.

@dzhohola @trylogical At this point, Logical does not purely use local LLMs -- it would be impossible to do tasks requiring higher order reasoning capabilities that way. But we see doing more and more stuff on-device as SLMs and chips improve.

I'm terrible at noting down todos. Every todo app I ever tried made absolutely no difference in my life. Great question! We offer: 1. Technical guarantees (not just policies): (a). User data is not send to or stored on Logical servers. Primary processing is always on-device. (b). We only use cloud LLMs that do not store nor utilize user data for training. (c). We sanitize user data before sending off to cloud LLMs. 2. Control: You can exclude any apps/websites from being monitored by Logical and turn back on anytime, with just one click.

@SamKaru_ @trylogical What about privacy? It feels too sketchy to allow some app to read your screen all the time

@garrytan We definitely feel this pain with @trylogical. Our users are like "why can't I give all permissions at once" and we're like "Apple won't let us".

Anyone else think MacOS really went a bit overboard on the "Allow" security modals? It should not be controversial that I am using Microsoft Excel to open a spreadsheet in my Dropbox folder.

@bougey @trylogical Great question, this is explained on our website. Your data is never sent to our servers. The only time your data may be sent to a third party is to a Cloud LLM for advanced reasoning, and we only use Google Gemini at this point. We're CASA Tier II certified.
