Following an investigation related to a truck arson case at Kabinam village, Senapati district along NH-2 earlier on 2nd March 2026, Manipur Police has arrested the key accused, one Ramayo Vashum (51) from Kathiko Karong, Senapati on 14.03.2026. Besides a Gypsy vehicle bearing Registration No. MN08 A0099, two mobile phones used in committing the offence have been seized. Efforts are ongoing to arrest others accused involved in the crime.

From his possession, the following were seized: i.Three mobile phones, ii.One wallet containing: (a) Rs. 32,500/- (Rupees thirty two thousand and five hundred only), (b) Aadhaar card, (c) ID card of UNLF (P), iii.One side bag and iv.One Mahindra SCORPIO – N car without registration number.
