@anodynamics @Thinkwert @JimmyLevendia That's why we were down to the last Saskatchewan pirate.

@Thinkwert @JimmyLevendia Many an unwary Saskatchewan pirate has lost life and limb to these creatures.

@JillBelch Further, we are rapidly developing various CDR technologies which will allow us to tax countries that aren't net-zero and remove their co2 for them.
English

@DannyAustin_9 There were at least three pre-deadline teams. The one that had the worst ever start the year. The one that played .600+ for over 20 games and fought its way back to .500, and the one that struggled when Coleman got injured and Huberdeau stopped producing.
English

@awakentrogdor Seeing the young guys progress, gain confidence, and learn how to win is far more important. We have lots of assets to trade for whatever else we need. We don't neec a very high pick. Tampa hasn't even had a top 10 pick since 2013.

Relax tankers - #Flames still have 6 more road games (including twice in Colorado) after this home stand
Enjoy the ride!!

The integration is via Palantir's Maven Smart System, where Anthropic's Claude model powers advanced analysis for target detection, prioritization, and strike planning from battlefield data. It enabled rapid processing of 1,000+ targets in the first 24 hours of U.S. ops against Iran (Operation Epic Fury).
Maven is now the Pentagon's formalized core AI platform across branches (per March 20 memo, effective Sept 2026). However, due to a Pentagon-Anthropic dispute over safeguards and access, Claude is being phased out—Palantir must replace it with other models, which may take months.
English

Palantir AI + Claude was used to detect, prioritize, and strike over 1,000 targets in the first 24 hours of Operation against IRAN.
The success was so ridiculous, so game-changing, that the Pentagon didn’t even wait.
What used to be just a pilot project, just something they were testing out… suddenly became official, permanent, and everywhere.
Palantir is now the core AI brain of the entire U.S. military. It’s getting rolled out across ALL branches.

@kenjaminyang @AdamPippert @floydmarinescu ...taxes, but your bit on the oil sands should not be there because that's Alberta's turf. And what does the suggestion that Canada loses "about 80% of that minerals wealth to private extraction" even mean? How much of our manufacturing wealth is lost to private companies?
English

@kenjaminyang @AdamPippert @floydmarinescu This is an interesting framework that could potentially make implementation more palatable. In the details, however, there is one currently fatal issue. Natural resources belong to the provinces. The federal government does make a lot of money on corporate and personal income...

@realrichgrogan @Jabs_13 ...this team for a season two years ago, and they may know this was an epic brain cramp not a malicious act. HOWEVER, at some point a message needs to be sent. The next time Greer plays the Flames I'm sure he knows what's coming. And there still needs to be a maximum suspension.
English

@realrichgrogan @Jabs_13 You're an American so you may not be familiar with the nuances of the code. This was a potentially devastating injury so the first concern has to be for the player. You want to keep people back and let the medical staff work. The wild card here is that Greer was a member of...

This hit on Connor Zary is the most dangerous play in hockey & it’s completely avoidable. It’s also unacceptable by AJ Greer. It’s not a hockey play, it an intent to injure with the consequences being a broken neck & paralysis. I was injured just like this. No more.

Connor Zary leaves the game following a hit from A.J. Greer

@Clarkian1900 And what to do Brzu? He put up 90 pts in his last year of junior, but he hasn't been able to find his offense in the pros yet. Where is the best for him to work on it?
English

@Clarkian1900 I'll be happy to seeing Hurtig in the AHL but this raises the question of our problem. I'm guessing Morin, Grushnikov, and Cicek at least are keepers. Add Wiebe, Hurtig, and probably Parekh for a while. Leander? Jamison is probably the next year and Mews and Phillips the next...
English

@Clarkian1900 That's good to hear about Laing. 6.06 205 RS C, he's someone we need in the system.

@MMIX_ca @JefferyThomas @Defence_Index @RodKahx @CanadianForces I think we need to become world leaders in drone technology, and partnering with Ukrainian companies would be a good way to do it. Drones to patrol our coastlines, search and rescue drones, perhaps big cargo drones for taking supplies to the north and other remote communities.
English

@JefferyThomas @Defence_Index @RodKahx @CanadianForces You are right, considering Canada has very good relationship with Ukraine, we can have very deep cooperation in this sector.
English

@angryablib @Phoenix_Ranger2 @JefferyThomas @Defence_Index @RodKahx @CanadianForces As far as I know it's very difficult to communicate over long distances under water at the level you would need to control a done.
English

@Phoenix_Ranger2 @JefferyThomas @Defence_Index @RodKahx @CanadianForces Yes. There are waterproof, coldproof, iceproof drones that can go underwater & under Arctic ice.
English

@JonnEngstrom @hanneburr ...but they also have to sign Celebrini, Smith, Misa, and Graf, and they've got 4 UFA D men this year too.
English

@JonnEngstrom @hanneburr ...out, old, and they have no draft picks, and there's been speculation that Matthews could be traded.
-SJ is in an interesting spot. They've got a bunch of very good young players but they're all going to need new contacts soon. They free up a lot of cap space in the next two..

May 5th will be a memorable day regardless of what pick we get. It’s going to be either McKenna if we get first or second—hearing Stenberg is the pick they’d take if the Nucks draft 1st. So high chance we land the Gavin sweepstakes; if not it’s looking like Verhoeff or Carels, and I’ll be more than happy with either of those guys, especially Carels since he’s a left shot defencemen with some Shea Theadore floor and Jake Sanderson ceiling. Verhoeff on the other hand appears to be a Ekblad floor, and Seabrook ceiling for potential.
Mark it down on your calendars #Flames fans, as it may be one of the most pivotal days in Calgary Flames history, considering they have never drafted higher than 3rd overall unlike their Albertan counterparts who hadn’t converted on a single championship since 1991, and none since they entered their dark era from 2007-2017 with no cups to show with bountiful amounts of 1st overall and top 10 picks.
