Restoring sound, restoring connection. In Rajouri, Jammu & Kashmir, 11-year-old Vasu has been living with hearing impairment since birth. A cochlear implant she received years ago had opened up her world to sound, learning, and communication. Over the past year, when her device stopped working, that connection was lost again. With her father a daily wage worker and her mother working as a house help, replacing the device was far beyond their means. Today, we are happy to share that Vasu can hear again. The moment her device was activated brought visible joy and emotion to her family, a reminder of how much sound means in everyday life. This was made possible through a heartfelt collaboration between the District Administration of Rajouri (@dmrajouri) and support from #PromiseBank.
