At my last command, my coworkers wife worked as a government employee. She was able to transfer at the same time as him while keeping the same job and pay to the new state.

@mikewit66 States have always handled birth certificates. There is no federal “law” on birthright citizenship. It was enacted by federal bureaucrats with a faulty interpretation of the 14A. Even a SCOTUS opinion isn’t the “law of the land”, it’s an opinion.

For several years I filed a bill that would end birthright citizenship in Oklahoma. It was simple: on the birth certificate it would either say citizen or foreign national depending on if the parent(s) were citizens or not. If SCOTUS screws this up, the States can still ignore them & handle it correctly.
