Very sad @Blagosklonny has passed away. He is best known for his work on rapamycin and the hyperfunction theory, which is similar to my software design flaw hypothesis. A wonderful paper is also his 2002 perspective @Nature on conceptual biology. RIP. nature.com/articles/41637…

I worry about the AI transition going wrong this way more than any other, partly because almost nobody else seems to be working on or thinking about it, even as it's coming true, with current AIs already accelerating math, coding, and biology while having little effect on philosophy.

I’m a little late to this, but for good reason — I’ve just safely departed from Europe. France has threatened Rumble, and now they have crossed a red line by arresting Telegram’s CEO, Pavel Durov, reportedly for not censoring speech. Rumble will not stand for this behavior and will use every legal means available to fight for freedom of expression, a universal human right. We are currently fighting in the courts of France, and we hope for Pavel Durov’s immediate release.
