@king_of_games34 Stormblood was an expansion that existed with the best version of gameplay that the game has had and ever since, each expansion added another cup of water to the recipe, but also they dumped out a lot of what was in the pot.
This is an attempt at keeping it easy for certain IQs.

Im sorry but if changing 1-2-3 to 1-1-1 is the trade off for having the jobs actually feel unique and have actual skill expression again like they were back in ARR and HW, then yea thats a trade Im willing to make.

Rewatching the dev panel on evolved jobs and the cheering I hear when they announce combining combos into a single button is truly disheartening.

@FateFalse mch is a bad example because the mch is trying to not use its 123 as much as possible. While 111 and 123 are not so different, 123 has a slight possibility of error - and that's better than a zero chance of error.

I get why jobs like SAM and DRG shouldnt have combos combined, but why are we acting like pressing 1-2-3 instead of 1-1-1 is skill expression? Are we saying machinist is harder to play than bard because it has a combo💀

4 monster types? Does FF14 do this?
In FFXI, there's normal monsters that detect you through sight, but also ones that detect by sound, spell casting, and monsters that will only attack you when you're weak or near-death.

@vlahakisarchive There's so many "wait an in-game day" progression blocks and I honestly love it. The game tries its absolute best to make Vana'diel feel like a world that exists beyond the player.

@Hyaku_Giggi @Luxin_Xeno The reason I am so down on red mage is because I do not like how this game treats magic. It's not special and feels like it either hurts or heals. To me red mage has always been the enfeeble class because it has access to all of them.

@Hyaku_Giggi @Luxin_Xeno Just a thought but, this wouldnt happen to be the first red mage that you've played, would it? If so, I can completely understand where youre coming from. Me, an old guy, thinks this is the worst iteration of a red mage. To contrast, ffxiv has the best version of ninja imo

@SamuraiSnoopy @Luxin_Xeno Flexibility is exactly what it does already in game: It cures, it raises, it buffs, it does both physical and magic DPS at lower amounts than others. Do you also want it to off tank? I can't think of what else you would give it other than improving what it has already.

@Hyaku_Giggi @Luxin_Xeno Whats the difference between the black and white magic in the ffxiv red mage? Because you can call it whatever color you want, it's all the same damage. It doesnt pull spells from white mage or black mage. The fantasy is in its flexibility.

@SamuraiSnoopy @Luxin_Xeno The red mage job fantasy is doing both black and white magic with some melee sprinkled in. Which is exactly what it does.

@mexican_sunbro Its not that killing a scion is the best way, but done well its such a good tool. Thancreds story should have finished and Eisiniens story should end tragically so that Alph can finally be interesting. Sometimes a guest scion should live, side scions should step up

People want stakes in MSQ again and think killing a Scion is the best way to do it when 7.5 gave an even better possibility to raise stakes.
Can't talk about it yet though. It does have to do with what Halmarut says to the WoL.

@Bit_Azure Normally I hate what i'm about to propose, but this game needs an official timeline of ARR to the start of Dawntrail. Like idc how heroic the WoL is, fatigue is not something mortals can beat, magic be dammed.

@SamuraiSnoopy Hard to tell. The game acts like time passes but then Devs will say "oh BTW this all happened in a week" so hard to keep track. I'm sure someone's done the math
