At today's Law Enforcement Memorial Breakfast, we solemnly honored the life and service of Officer Andy Lahera of the Citrus County Sheriff's Office who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His name was formally added to the national memorial this week, ensuring that his courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. I was proud to stand in solidarity with the Lahera family, @sheriffcitrus David Vincent, fellow law enforcement officers, and community members as we paid tribute to this local hero. In a moment filled with reflection and gratitude, we were reminded of the profound cost of public service and the enduring legacy left by those who give their lives to protect others. #PoliceWeek #NeverForgotten

Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s are not inevitable consequences of aging. They are complex biological processes that can be visualized, measured, and ultimately changed. The 7T MRI platform is the most powerful noninvasive technology available today, capable of imaging the human brain at near-histologic resolution. It serves as a critical bridge between scientific discovery and real-world treatments. This funding will help ensure the United States remains at the forefront of neurodegenerative disease research — accelerating progress toward better treatments, stronger prevention strategies, and, ultimately, cures for patients and families who need them most.
