Who do you people think you are demanding answers about why Erika Kirk is the CEO. The only person she has to answer to is the Turning Point donors. She owes you nothing. None of you are qualified to make a judgement call about whether she is qualified to be in that role or not. Supporting your lifestyle by “asking questions” you’re not qualified to ask and have no business knowing doesn’t make you anything other then a vile grifter who uses a grieving widow to pay your bills. She only answers to private donors. But we will all answer to God one day. And some of you all need to pick up a Bible and see what He says about the treatment of widows. Especially those of you that display crosses and proclaim to be Christians.

I lost vision in left eye while she was in college, so we insisted she take my old, safe car since I couldn’t drive. I’m unconvinced every parent should buy a kid’s car. Situations vary.

Thats tough parenting. And I get the life lesson. But I would buy him a car - I think it’s every parents obligation to buy their kids their first car. Even if it’s a used $5000 car. Just make him pay the insurance or the car payments so he learns responsibility that way. There is also a lot of joy in doing that for them.

This is my son. He is almost 16 and wants a vehicle. I refuse to buy him one and told him he needs to pay for it himself. He got a job as a rec basketball league referee and quickly realized how long it would take to save up enough money to get a $3k car making $12/hour. Then I showed him some cooler $6k options on Bring a Trailer and he got the itch to make more money. I gave him countless ideas to pursue. He wasn't feeling any of them. Then I decided to show him some podcast episodes from @mhp_guy (he's listened to some from Chris before and was a fan). No ideas were really hitting home until he heard an episode between Chris and @ShannonJean about reselling. He fell in love. So I showed him a few more and he was convinced that that was the route he should take. We started browsing B-Stock and then realized we need a state tax license and some other stuff so we got that all set up. Then we browsed some more. Endless deals. We settled on buying 115 rugs at an average of $13/rug after shipping. They're all Costco returns. Various sizes, some in better condition than others. He now has to figure out how to sell all these through my Facebook Marketplace account. I won't be helping him at all, other than answering questions and casually giving him strategic ideas here and there. If he can sell the rugs at an average price of $35 (keep in mind some are brand new and are 10' x 14' large), he'll make $2500 in profit. Then we can start car shopping :). P.S. @EsqAnnie @Brandondoyle get a bike. i rode an 18 speed for 2 years in college. 8 miles to work 3 days a week. all year round in Pittsburgh. the hills are a killer, but ended up great physical conditioning. soft kids fail.

My only daughter always worked on campus in college and law school after earning scholarships. Some financial aid and we helped. Different world!

And all weekend at the nearby resort where I lived with parents and younger siblings when not in college. No financial aid. Paid for college with high school savings.

@Brandondoyle Wise dad. You let your son choose his method of making the $$. He can work a “real” job later if he wants, but learning how to do this is never forgotten. Can help get a good 9-5 later, but not everyone is cut out for that. He’s learning an important life skill, with a safety net

I’m officially convinced. It was a hoax. The Trump Administration recruited a leftist Kamala Harris voting Trump hater to participate in a staged assassination that would include the shooter getting shot at and then locked in federal prison for the rest of his life. The Kamala Harris voter agreed to this plan, that works against his political and personal interests, because he’s just like a really generous guy. Meanwhile the Trump Administration, despite dastardly planning multiple assassination hoaxes, decided to keep their patsy alive and a permanent liability to them, rather than just killing him like they could have easily done. They did this because they also are really strangely generous in a very odd and specific way. So in summary we have a plot where all parties involved are working against their own interests with no real discernible benefit to any of them. There is no evidence of this plan and it doesn’t even make any intuitive sense and the motives for everyone are unclear if not insane, but still I believe it because I’m a very smart person.
