@GenePark Any enemy on their knees only prompted R2 for an axe finisher. Rarely X for a kick. Axe melee was way too weak for me to care to use. And there were no contextual O dodges. RE4R combat clears and is way more satisfying.

DLSS 5 demo shows it can get a lot wrong (as gen AI does). Completely changes lighting and character features. Looks artificial compared to the crafted path tracing and modeling. Nothing shown so far proves this is the right step forward for gaming Clip via @maximilian_

@Jackgamer74 Need to see Alan Wake 2 and Silent Hill 2 tested. Those games looked horrendous with PSSR1. Lots of blur and shimmering with what looked like sub 1080p

I also tried - Demons Souls - Avatar - Assasins Creed Shadows - GT7 PSSR 2 makes Demons Souls look very detailed, but that is using a high internal resolution of 1440p, so its expected? GT7 looks amazing, but it looks the same. I expect the PSSR 2 update was already released a few days ago (I made a post about it). Avatar and Shadows both upscale from very low resolutions of down to 720p and 864p respectively. It shows, because here we lack a bit of detail, but the image still looks good and stable. No game looks awfully blurry with simmering and artefacts anymore on Pro. They are all fine and playable on a big 4k TV. Thats what I’m thinking right now is the biggest takeaway from this upgrade 👍 A massive upgrade and win for PS5 Pro owners 👍👍👍

I have now briefly tried PSSR 2 in many games on my PS5 Pro. I focused on performance modes with unlocked frame rates. Its here games have the lowest internal resolution but also highest frame rates. Its here the benefit of a good upscaler really will show. - Ghost of Yotei: 1080p 80 fps - Spidermand 2: 936p 70 fps - LOU2: 1440p 100 fps - Ratchet Clank: 1200p 90 fps PSSR 2 basically looks like FSR 4 to me. It makes the image very stable and has good detail. Its a massive upgrade over PSSR 1. When we go below 1080p then we begin to see some loss of detail, but it still looks very stable and PSSR actually does a good job considering lower than 1080p is difficult for any upscaler. 1080p and above basically looks close to native 4k in detail, and maybe even has better anti-aliasing and stability.

@chtkghk @zachtothefuller @maximilian_ And DLSS5 can help achieve that high FIDELITY without wasting time and money on developers. There’s even a slider to apply how much fidelity you want. You’re not going to convince me that generative AI is bad.

@SaneGamer @zachtothefuller @maximilian_ They have somewhat realistic styles with certain characters, but again "REALISM" is not the goal, but "FIDELITY". A 6-headed demon monster with tentacles and flaming swords IS NOT REALISTIC. The goal is to present it in high fidelity so that it looks appealing/convincing.

@chtkghk @zachtothefuller @maximilian_ Obviously not *every* game is aiming for ultra realism. MHW and E33 would definitely benefit from improved visuals because they do have a somewhat realistic art style with humanoid characters.
