Dear @WhiteHouse: PLEASE KEEP PUTTING KEVIN HASSETT ON TV. I love how he is sooo out of touch and delivers asinine statements with his smug, arrogant attitude. He talks about “golden age” and “investment boom.” REALITY: GDP growth last quarter revised downward to an anemic 0.5%.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

BARTIROMO: We know we just came off of the worst quarter for stocks in several years, we know oil prices have risen 50%. What's your expectation for your impact on economic growth? HASSETT: I think this is a temporary distraction that will very very quickly go away

Melania Trump won’t want you to listen to Michael Wolff: “A new book was published yesterday called ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.’ It contains a passage in which Epstein is quoted where he says he had sex with Melania a full year before Donald Trump commenced his relationship with Melania”

BREAKING: Megyn Kelly on MAGA: Megyn Kelly: “After 14 years inside Fox News, I’m exposing what viewers refuse to see—how the network morphed from news into a propaganda machine designed purely to cheerlead wars, worship Trump, and feed you manufactured rage instead of facts.” Truth.

I've been saying this for a while. Now JAMA Psychiatry said it louder. 54 studies. 17,065 people. The real story of depression isn't in the monoamines... It's in the mitochondria. 🧵

On Thursday, a total of six ships traveled through the Strait of Hormuz, a one ship increase since Wednesday but still significantly lower than averages seen prior to the Iran War, with today’s transits including two oil, chemical or liquid natural gas tankers, three cargo ships, and one bunkering tanker, according to data provided to CBS News by the global ship tracking firm MarineTraffic.

“How to kill GOYIM and influence people” Torat Ha'melech A rabbinical guidebook for killing non-Jews has sparked an uproar in Israel and exposed the power a bunch of genocidal theocrats wield over the government. Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, “Non-Jews are “uncompassionate by nature” and should be killed in order to “curb their evil inclinations.” “If we kill a gentile who has has violated one of the seven commandments… there is nothing wrong with the murder,” Shapira insisted. "There is justification for killing babies if they may harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults”. Jews try to justify the murder of babies & children. If they deem you a threat, they believe killing your baby & children is acceptable. There is NEVER any justification for taking the lives of innocent babies & children. NEVER EVER 😡 If you call out the words, behaviour & actions of this one group of people, you are labelled Antisemitic. NO-ONE is above criticism or accountability. NO-ONE.

🗞️ Kamal Kharrazi, Former Iranian Foreign Minister and Senior Adviser to Supreme Leader, Dies from Airstrike Injuries Kharrazi, the head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, has died from injuries sustained in a U.S.-Israeli airstrike on his Tehran home on April 1. His wife was killed in the initial attack. The 81-year-old served as Iran’s foreign minister from 1997 to 2005 and as ambassador to the United Nations from 1989 to 1997. He was a senior adviser to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and continued in that role under his successor, Mojtaba Khamenei. At the time of the strike, Kharrazi had reportedly been working with Pakistani intermediaries to arrange a direct meeting between Iranian officials and Vice President JD Vance — making him a central figure in the diplomatic channel that ultimately produced the fragile ceasefire now under severe strain.

Six million people. That’s how many have been forced from their homes in just over two years across Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. In Gaza, displacement has become a repeated reality. Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed, while Israeli evacuation orders have pushed civilians from one area to another, often into places that are later targeted again. Today, the vast majority of Gaza’s population has been displaced, many of them multiple times. Source: UN OCHA - Gaza Situation Reports . In Lebanon, escalating Israeli airstrikes have driven more than a million people from their homes. Towns in the south, the Bekaa, and parts of Beirut have emptied rapidly, as civilians fled under the threat of continued bombardment. Source: UNHCR; UN OCHA - Lebanon Updates . In Iran, the widening scope of the conflict has forced millions to flee major cities, as regional attacks intensified and fears of further escalation spread. Source: UNHCR - Iran Displacement Report . According to UN agencies and humanitarian reporting, this level of displacement is not random. It reflects a pattern seen across different fronts: sustained military pressure, forced movement, and the steady erosion of any place civilians can safely remain. Different countries. Different contexts. But the same result: Mass displacement not as an accident of war, but as one of its defining outcomes.

I think one of the things that people are missing with Helen DeWitt's highly justified inability to be a show pony for some prize is not just "depression." Caregiving for someone sick -- as she took care of her mother -- destroys the nervous system and creates a constant state of fight-or-flight that is exhausting. It is a deep burnout. It keeps the body in a constant state of hypervigilance and stress that takes years to recover. She was burned out. And as a result she was in freeze response, her memory harmed, her thinking unclear and her body unable to do anything significant. This caregiving burnout is well known in medical circles and shows itself as tangibly and functionally in the body as most chronic illnesses do. franjohns.net/2016/09/14/car… nursing.virginia.edu/news/caregiver…
