@johntamnyforeignaffairs.com/united-states/… - dying to hear your thoughts on this. What do you think will happen to treasury market with higher tariffs and less foreign money in the US?
I have a new hero and her name is Sarah Moore.
• Under 30 years old
• Had no money, no experience. Biggest asset was her car (a RAV4)
• Spent 1 year hunting through 100,000+ businesses to find ONE to buy
• Bought a $20M+ business called “Eggcartons.com”, all debt
@Marytwain1@ShaanVP I did sign a PG and leveraged TF out of myself. If I’m gonna invest in anyone it’s gonna be me not some random rich ceo whose stock price I’m helping to increase. Leverage your upbringing Mary! It’s your greatest asset.
@uglyrobot@ShaanVP The “senior” interns managed and interviewed the “junior” interns. One girl realized finance wasn’t really her thing so she became the head of HR and managed our recruiting
@Tom14985282@ShaanVP More people should. It’s not a capability issue, it’s a confidence issue, IMO. I can relate . I never would’ve had the confidence had it not been for a few people.
@ShaanVP She got a $20M dollar loan to buy a company with the only collateral being the company? Why then doesn't everyone buy million dollar companies with no money of their own?
@ratracegrad@ShaanVP You don’t . That’s why it took 1.5 years. You’re looking for a needle in a haystack blindly reaching out to businesses - guessing emails addresses , sending faxes, etc.
@ShaanVP@CicmilJovan Never in my life would I think that deodorant would leave me temporarily legally blind, but it did. The entire optometry department at @FenwayHealth was just as shocked as I was. Don’t believe me? Give them a call. This is my written permission @SCPDerm
@CicmilJovan what about this is going to ruin your life?
the only thing remotely harmful would be taking part in paid research studies on campus. Pretty common. I did it too. Stayed away from the eating/drinking/ingesting stuff tho
@ShaanVP A few things don't add up. 1. Scanning 400K private companies, their Cash Flows, etc. (that can't be done both legally and reliably). 2. Mentinong the Eggcartons as a "perfect fit" and also faxing 1,000s of other companies.... (all were a perfect fit?)
@tigranca@ShaanVP I had someone scrape, from one of the major databases, a list of every company within 1.5 hours of my apartment in Boston. It was such a big list we couldn’t open it in excel. Over 400K
@crashoverrideee@ShaanVP Both my sisters got 100% full scholarships to school. We were raised in a trailer and I was evicted from every home I ever lived in until I was taken in by the Bracken family. They’re MY hero’s.
@Risk_enforcer@ShaanVP@Nate_Rivers You can get a good sized loan. If you get a sellers note you can make that whatever size the seller agrees to. The hard part is the sellers note. Bank loan was way easier.
@Afsoun3000@rxgamble@ShaanVP I was asked for interesting Tidbits pertaining to my search. Many people ask me about this so I shared with it Shaan. Im not looking to glorify anything. I work in the middle of nowhere and still drive my 2012 rav4 lol
@rxgamble@ShaanVP Inspiring story but why flaunting/glorifying making fake ids? That's illegal. Not everyone can go through doing something illegal even for the right intentions.
@LIttleVicious23@ShaanVP I created a conference line and let every intern listen to any call they wanted with banks, business owners, brokers. Anything they wanted. They were not treated like slaves. Im great friends with many of them to this day.
@LIttleVicious23@ShaanVP I got so many inquiries that someone on our team asked me if they could do HR for us. I literally had friends of friends asking me if their brother /nephew/etc could join our team. The pay was access to anything anyone wanted. Every single intern had access to all my emails
