Let’s talk about Abbott Pakistan (PSX:ABOT) because the company posted some very strong numbers in 2025. Net sales crossed PKR 75.4 BILLION while profit after tax reached nearly PKR 8 BILLION, with EPS climbing to Rs81.37/share. What really stands out is the profitability improvement… gross margins increased to 35.1% while return on equity moved above 25%, showing the company is executing very efficiently despite a difficult business environment. Abbott’s business is also much more diversified than many people realize. Pharmaceuticals contribute around 71% of revenue, but the company also has strong exposure to nutrition, diagnostics and diabetes care segments. Export sales remained solid as well. On top of that, Abbott now operates three manufacturing facilities in Pakistan with more than 1,300 employees and continues expanding its healthcare footprint across multiple segments. Abbott looks very stable compared to many companies on PSX. Strong margins, healthy profitability, diversified healthcare exposure and consistent execution make it one of the more solid long term pharma names in the market right now. The company also picked up multiple corporate excellence, environmental and CSR awards in 2025, which adds more credibility to the overall business story. Do your own research before investing.
