@Pirat_Nation As a developer, I fully support VW doing this. The amount of people that yell at you and complain about app bugs, only to find out they're using some duct taped together OS, it's insane.

Volkswagen has blocked its app from working on phones running custom Android ROMs like GrapheneOS, LineageOS, and /e/OS. According to Volkswagen, the app now depends on Google’s Play Integrity API and supports only certified Android devices. Users with custom ROMs are logged out and cannot sign back in, losing access to connected car features like remote locking, climate control, charging management, and vehicle status. Volkswagen says these operating systems are outside its supported environment because the app relies on certified Android security standards.

People still don’t get it. Bethesda’s object permanence is what makes their worlds feel alive and reactive. You can drop items anywhere, build crazy cheese wheel shrines, leave the world in whatever chaotic state you want… and it stays that way. No other game (Cyberpunk included) has fully captured that level of true persistence without compromises. Loading screens exist for a real technical reason here .. they let the game actually remember your impact on the world. I’d rather quick loads than losing that immersion any day. The trade-off is worth it.

ZA/UM, the studio behind Disco Elysium, has announced layoffs after the poor commercial performance of its latest game, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies. The studio says up to 32 employees across all departments are affected. While Zero Parades received positive reviews from critics, ZA/UM said its sales weren’t strong enough to support the studio at its current size. In its statement, ZA/UM said the layoffs change “the shape of the studio, but not its purpose.”

The audience scores are in The Odyssey and rotten tomatoes is once again manipulating the ratings, as they are currently blocking negative scores. Metacritic is showing a more accurate picture of the real rating for the movie, rated at a 5.7 average. Other movies such as the woman king also boast a massively high viewer score of 99% despite its viewer score on metacritic at only 3.2.
