Listen up world! We are Jews. We live in the USA. Our homeland. The country we cherish and love. There is another foreign country 6000 miles away called Israel. For one reason or the other, they are in a never ending conflict with their Arab n'bors. They may be right or may be wrong. They may today be right and tomorrow wrong. We hope whatever is happening their it should produce safety and peace to our Jewish brothers and else. Whether it's a one state solution, two state solution or a million state solution, our only hope is to stop the bloodshed and violence, one way or the other. However, unfortunately, Israel has a nefarious interest to dump all their problems on the heads of every Jew in the world. To stir up and instigate anger towards us Jews. Linking Jews with Israel puts a big fat target on our backs, serving no constructive purpose. Every time the conflict flairs up we -Jews- suffer. This has been going on for way too long. We're being abused, exploited and used as pawns. It's high time to resist! We want to live in peace with all our neighbors regardless of their opinions about this conflict. We are not Israel's proxy. If you want to rally in support of Israel? Good luck! You want to rally in support of Palestinians? Good luck! BUT LEAVE US ALONE.

I would advise the Satmar leadership (all), to send the individual running this X account a cease-and-desist letter for using their name. We in the Satmar community know exactly who is behind this account, and he has zero authority or role within any Satmar leadership. It is completely unfair, illegal, and against Halacha to make sensitive political statements - whether valid or not- while making every effort to present them as if they were issued in an official capacity.

Hashem, through open miracles, is already setting the stage for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. The fact that Jews scattered across the globe can instantly discuss these matters is itself a miracle. Indeed, as you rightly point out, our yearning for redemption is not a political or national cry, but a longing for Hashem to restore His Shechinah in the Holy Land and bring lasting peace to the world. For that very reason, our task is not to reject fellow Jews, but to unite and inspire every Jew, Zionist or otherwise, to return closer to Hashem. A Judaism that does not strive to bring distant Jews closer to Hashem would be the real paradox.

That's where it starts and ends. The text quoted specifically refers to the Shechinah (Divine Presence) returning to Zion. Not people.

Yeah, I agree your community shouldn't be harassed or demonized. If you are the Rebbe or an Elder of KJ, I'd advise your people to politely decline further interviews from " journalists ". Or if they do speak then tell them what you said that you're actively looking for ways to reduce your dependence...Its a win win situation then.

Fair enough. I’ve long argued that our community should seriously look into reducing its reliance on government support; it’s healthier and safer in the long run. That said, it’s still not the person with 18 children who should be demonized. Everyone is entitled to have as many kids as they wish. And if you believe supporting them places too much strain on government resources, feel free to advocate and campaign for reduced spending. But singling out our community, harassing us, and trying to portray us as illiterate, when all we are doing is accepting what is legally offered to us, is really unfair and not decent.

I think that's a fair comment. Your communities are extremely safe and well ordered and that's commendable. I think what may upset the average taxpayer in the US is the sheer number of children you have, one guy said he had 18 kids. If that family is indeed welfare dependant then surely you can see the strain that would put on resources.
