Are the Suno developers really so tone-deaf that they can’t hear what Suno itself is producing? This isn’t even music, it’s just hissing layers of different sounds with frequency issues and a lot of unnecessary noise. It’s not suitable for professional work, it’s not even suitable for listening. Yet they keep bumping the version number under the pretense of something new, even though it sounds exactly the same and hasn’t changed since v3. I made a 1-minute test clip using the free generation in version 5.5. I would never listen to something like that. It sounds like music recorded on the voice recorder of an old button phone.
Suno@suno

Meet Suno v5.5: More expressive, more you. Use your voice, your sound, and your taste to make music that's unmistakably yours, in the best and most personal Suno experience yet.

It looks good, but the overcooked textures that Nano Banana generates are annoying 😄 The moment at 0:35 with the pipe in his mouth looks very strange. While talking, it would fall out, and he speaks as if there’s nothing in his mouth. Try putting a pencil in the corner of your mouth and saying something, your speech will be distorted because of the object. Here, that process is completely ignored. Besides, you probably wouldn’t be allowed to smoke in a museum. I’d redo that moment. At 2:07, I’d remove the camera shake, it feels unnecessary to me.

Developed from scratch in just 4 weeks, on a budget of roughly $1,000 in credits, I took a 124 year old horror story that's already been adapted into 20+ films and reimagined it entirely using a single Al platform: @invideoOfficial Based on W.W. Jacobs' 1902 horror story, The Monkey Paw is a cautionary tale about a cursed artefact that grants three wishes, but with terrible consequences. I reworked the tale to become part of a larger Lovecraftian mythos I've been creating for over 20 years, set in the fictional town of Brightburn, Massachusetts. I set out to achieve three goals: 1. Stay as faithful as possible to the original story 2. Deliver a strong emotional arc through believable AI performances 3. Push the medium as much as possible to emulate a real film breaking the AI illusion You can be the judge of what worked and what didn’t.

@MaxVOAO @LumaLabsAI Nano Banana Pro has long been able to convert sketches into photorealistic images without losing detail. Moreover, similar results have long been achieved using Stable Diffusion.

🚨 It’s actually embarrassing… Uni-1 just broke the AI image game. I drew an ugly rough sketch of a house on purpose. My thought: “Can it really understand architecture, composition and lighting?” Exact prompt: “Make the house sketch realistic, same view angle” Result: cinematic perfection in one shot. This model actually thinks. Game over.

😰 A Russian man, seeking relief from boredom, somehow managed to get two chess pieces stuck in his backside A resident of Ufa explained that he did this to unwind after a tedious game. The 41-year-old initially claimed only a knight was involved. However, an X-ray revealed that a queen had also become lodged across his anus. An emergency surgery was required to resolve the situation.

Midjourney is a slop generator. It doesn’t understand space or the real world, unlike Nano Banana Pro. It still suffers from the defects typical of diffusion models. On top of that, it was trained on its own generations, meaning on its own AI slop, which is why it produces even more AI slop 😁 Here are example generations: 1. Midjourney 2. Nano Banana 2 3. Grok

I know for a fact there will be a lot of people defending Midjourney V8, but the reality is they failed. And they keep pretending there is no problem and the model will be good in a few months, and this is just Alpha.

Even though the seller insisted that the graphics card was fully working and was ready to refund me because it didn’t work on my side, I still decided to take a closer look at this Frankenstein with oxidation and other crap all over the PCB. The problem turned out to be two torn-off SMD capacitors. Apparently the postal service was playing football with it during delivery, and the seller was such an idiot that he simply packed it in a bag… just a bag. Even I at least throw in some crumpled paper when I ship a package. In the end, after about three hours of soldering, I restored the graphics card and cleaned all the oxidized crap off it. And it works. Now I have a temporary stopgap in the form of a GTX 1070 with 8GB.

I decided to buy a used GPU so I could finish rendering my films faster, because my previous card died after my experiments with AI… So now I’m stuck using an office-grade display adapter just to get any image output, and part of the workload has been pushed onto the CPU. But software rendering takes much longer than using a GPU. RESULT… (The seller is just a FUCKING ASSHOLE! He kept assuring me the GPU was working…) Today I picked up the graphics card. Despite its beaten-up look, like it had been used as a football, I still dared to plug it into my work PC. The result: the fans don’t spin, though that sometimes happens when a GPU is cold… But there’s also no video output. The motherboard’s GPU check indicator throws an error. So I decided to open the GPU… And I was fucking shocked… I spent my last money on a piece of shit that doesn’t even work. That really hurts… 😢

I don’t watch many recent films compared to older ones, but someone recommended Scott Derrickson's The Gorge (2025) to me, which I watched on Apple TV. Honestly, when you expect nothing from a film, that’s often when you’re the most pleasantly surprised. It’s a great source of inspiration in so many ways. The cinematography is gorgeous, the story by Zach Dean is really cool, and the color grading is WILD. It actually reminds me of the tinted frames from the 1920s and 30s I was talking about a few days ago. Sometimes taking more risks with color grading is a very good and welcomed idea. There are also two fun meta references to the most famous works of the two lead actors: Whiplash and The Queen’s Gambit.
