@SimonMahan Seems to me that advocacy is about contacts. Can you drop many contacts for a year, cultivate new ones, and then revert back? Seems challenging.

Should advocates working on federal legislation take 2024 as a gap year and focus on state level work instead, since legislation really doesn't happen in a presidential election year?
