@TooMuchNoise23 @beyond_capital Can you quote and explain their methodology and sources? All these authors are strongly biased themselves. If you want people to believe their claims, then explain the methodology they use to arrive at them.

@MarkRPellegrino @InfraHaz Was Louis the 14th a fascist? Monarchists, fascists, communists, liberals will often run their economies in supeficially similar ways as they have fundamental similarities like having to win wars and survive. This doesn't mean they are the same in all attributes, such as ideology

Cept it’s not. State control of the means of production w/nominal private ownership is literally fascist. Precisely the iteration of collectivism followed by most countries now. What’s nonsensical is the pretense that communism and fascism are opposites. They are essentially alike and end the same.

Same people claiming China is capitalist simultaneously claim that Zohran Mamdani is a Communist. State-owned enterprises dominating all major industries, public ownership of land, infrastructure, resources, energy, major banks is capitalism. But free buses are full Communism?

@backtalk333 @jacksonhinklle @ACPMain I have, and the number of "communism deaths" doesn't even get close to 200 million. If you think you're correct, you have to actually demonstrate why with evidence.

@rabitedensetsu @MarkRPellegrino @InfraHaz Fascists running an economy a certain way, does not make someone else who runs an economy a similar way a fascist. Historical monarchies also controlled their economies in a similar way, private enterprise existing but directed by the state. Was Louis the 14th a fascist?

@Schplopper @MarkRPellegrino @InfraHaz I think you need to do some research on how industry and business was done under fascism. The state told industry what to produce. It was state controlled. That's one of the primary functions of fascism, to control how industry works towards the goals of the nation.

@Schplopper @jacksonhinklle @ACPMain Nope! I did my homework I always do! I did say "Give or take a few million' so I'm covered there 🤔 I named off several communist leaders plus I said "Ect,ect, ect" meaning I'm piling in every communist leader in history . It's roughly 200 million . "Give or take a few million"

@MarkRPellegrino @InfraHaz China is not fascist. If a state controlled economy with some private ownership is fascist then Louis 14th, the tsar and basically every historical monarchy are fascist. Clearly your definition is nonsensical. Chinese economy is doing relatively well currently.

China isn’t capitalist. It’s technically fascist… state controlled with some nominal private ownership… and enough ‘markets’ to bring home some bacon… but ccp control has garnered a currency and debt crisis, housing crisis, and demographic crisis… which, like all commies, they hide and lie about. Commie economies are pathological, like commie minds and commie ethics. Free buses, like all things commie, are not free, just not paid for by the beneficiary. Contrary to commie wishes, all resources that are processed by human beings require labor and with that comes a price. Denying reality doesn’t change reality. If only the wanna be Caesar knew that. Cue commie droogs and dipshits 🤣

@TooMuchNoise23 @beyond_capital Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Anti socialists always make up bigger and bigger numbers, first 20 million, then 60 million, then 100s of millions. The claims get more and more extraordinary, yet they never explain the methodology behind them.

Communism gets dismantled from both sides. Its critics expose the contradictions on principle. Its advocates expose them in practice. You don’t need a theory debate when implementation keeps producing the same results. It only sounds appealing when it stays abstract. The moment it meets reality, it explains itself.

@grok @Sigma_Keys @khrachvik First problem with the black book of communism is that it is factually incorrect. It states that the great famine in china killed 65 million people. There is no archival data backing this up. And the vast majority of estimates are far lower.

The Black Book tallies victims of communist regimes' internal policies—executions, famines, gulags—not enemy combatants like German soldiers killed in defensive war. That claim misrepresents its methodology, which draws from archives showing Soviet excess deaths exceeding 20 million. While some contributors critiqued the global extrapolation, core data aligns with declassified records, underscoring regimes' lethal toll beyond births prevented by policy-induced demographic collapses.

@grok @Sigma_Keys @khrachvik Book was denounced by some of its own sources. It includes German soldiers killed during their invasion of the USSR. Additionally it includes people who weren't born as death due to communism. The final tally has almost no connection to reality.

No, the claim isn't fake—historians in "The Black Book of Communism" estimate 94-100 million deaths from communist regimes through executions, forced labor, engineered famines, and purges. Key atrocities include Stalin's Holodomor (millions starved in Ukraine), Mao's Great Leap Forward (up to 45 million famine deaths), Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge killing fields (25% of Cambodia's population), and Soviet Gulags holding millions in brutal camps. These figures draw from declassified archives, not propaganda, underscoring communism's totalitarian toll.

🇨🇳 Study Mao Zedong Thought. Western media barks loudly and lies about China, China's past, present, and future. But when you come to China, all that crumbles like a paper tiger in the wind. Life goes on in socialist China, and the spirit of Chairman Mao lives on.

@SpamRanger @RTSG_Main No, Lenin didn't. The famine was caused by the civil war. Most civil wars will cause a famine, spain, the congo, ethiopia, sudan. The bigger the civil war, the bigger the famine. Its not like Lenin had a stop famine button on his desk.

@RTSG_Main Lenin killed 5 million Russians through famine in 1920-21. The death toll would have been much higher. But the USA sent about 768,000,000 tons of food and set up an aid operation that fed about 10,000,000 Russians a day. Russia thanks the USA by pointing nuclear missiles at us.

@usmcgruntx @KingSirdave @InfraHaz Slavery was only in the south, in areas that have always been agrarian anyway, it didn't hold back the US. Civil war didn't damage industrial areas. Most sources say industrialization began in the early 19th century. US had two shining seas and as much resources as the USSR.

The United States was held back by slavery and the civil war. The rapid industrialization occurred in a short window during the Gilded age We’re not talking about just Russia. The USSR in whole has several times the landmass and natural resources including timber, oil, gas, coal, farm land. Russia has more trade routes to both Asia and Europe. Russia on paper should be a top global economic.

Are you for toppling the status quo? Welcome to the Left. That's all it ever meant in history: Toppling the regime and the oligarchy that owns it. Feudal lords, slave owners, Robber Barons, Wall St banksters. If you are brave enough to fight them, you are Left-Wing. If you shill for the system, you're on the Right. The real Left vs. Right is: Revolutionary versus shill. America has no organized Left-Wing. It's time to set aside the old confused labels of the 2010s and build one.

@usmcgruntx @KingSirdave @InfraHaz USSR started its industrialisation in the early 1920s after the end of the civil war. America started its industrialisation in around 1820. This is the main factor. Russia isn't any geographically better of than the US. Only small parts of Russia are farmable, inhabitable.

Space race? Lol USSR at its peak of communism with the largest natural resources in the world wealth of culture, technology and history that Russia already had, could only muster up a GDP per capita that was about 1/3rd of the US’s in 1950-60s. Later they opened up some markets and were able to climb to half in 1989 right before they collapsed The story of the USSR is not about this miraculous rapid development and industrialization, it’s a story of massive underdevelopment vs their true potential given the resources, land and people

In America, Bernie/Zohran/DSA policies based only on increasing social spending absolutely do seek to redistribute the revenues of super-imperialism. Taxes do not finance government spending, sales of treasury bonds + money printing does. Yes, "free shit" politics is 100% pro-imperialist. Hence Zohran, AOC, Bernie, etc. To be anti-imperialist, Socialist politics must be rooted in the question of SOVEREIGN OWNERSHIP over the means of PRODUCTION. Long story short, in order to stop exploiting the world, Americans must own and produce their own shit instead of living off financial revenue that bankrupts, exploits and enslaves the world.
