As a medical school professor, I've watched patients take vitamin D for years with zero improvement in their blood levels. Now a Vanderbilt clinical trial explains why: they're missing magnesium. Key findings: > Magnesium RAISED vitamin D in people who were deficient > But LOWERED it in people with excess levels > It acts as a master regulator - not just a booster > Up to 80% of Americans don't get enough magnesium daily This changes everything about vitamin D supplementation. Without adequate magnesium, your body literally cannot synthesize or metabolize vitamin D properly. Two deficiencies. One solution. And mainstream medicine is only testing for one of them. This is metabolic dysfunction hiding in plain sight. Full breakdown coming on the Health Longevity Secrets podcast. #VitaminD #Magnesium #MetabolicHealth #Supplements #Longevity Source: sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/…

For many of us it's like the world suddenly changed overnight. Still trying to come to terms with it. 49 years of junk science and industry-driven propaganda suddenly eliminated. Imagine - Dr Robert Atkins and not Ancel Keys, was correct all along. In my experience, three people made a huge difference to my understanding of healthy nutrition: @drericwestman (with Steve Phinney and Jeff Volek) wrote the book that convinced me to adopt a low-carb diet; @garytaubes and then @bigfatsurprise dismantled the fake science behind the 1977 US Department of Agriculture DIetary Guidelines. Thousands of others have contributed hugely but it was those three who changed my life by having the courage to stand up for the truth. @TheNoakesF @NutritionNetwrk. But it took the courage of @realDonaldTrump and @RobertKennedyJc to take this truth to the world. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled".

A lot of people point to Japan as a bastion of good health. Low obesity rates, high life expectancy, lean population eating rice and fish. But it's deceptive. As much as I love Japan, they aren't as healthy as people think. Let's start with obesity. Yes, Japan has far lower obesity rates than the US. But this simply reflects a critical biological reality. Japanese populations tend to have fewer but larger fat cells. This means the average Japanese body type simply can't gain as much weight. But when weight gain does occur, each pound has a disproportionately higher metabolic impact. This is why Japanese individuals develop type 2 diabetes at much lower BMIs than Caucasians. In one study, the mean BMI for diabetic Japanese was just 25.4. Barely into "overweight" territory. Meanwhile diabetic white Americans averaged 31.8 and African Americans 34.6. Regarding diabetes, people assume Japan must have dramatically lower rates given their lean population. The reality is that Japan sits around 8% diabetes prevalence. The US is around 11%. Certainly a relevant difference, but also not the massive gap people imagine. Interestingly, Japanese Americans have diabetes rates much higher than both native Japanese and the general US population (despite having much lower average body weight). Furthermore, between 1997 and 2007, the number of Japanese with diabetes or prediabetes nearly doubled, bumping from 13.7 million to 22.1 million. And it's only getting worse. The thin appearance is the deception.

🔥BREAKING: The secret to living to 100+? HIGH CHOLESTEROL! A massive Swedish study tracking over 800,000 people for 35 years just revealed: Every single centenarian had HIGH total cholesterol. The higher your LDL, the longer you live. Mind blown yet? Dr. Ben Bikman exposes the lies about cholesterol being "bad." Key findings from the Sweden AMORIS study: - All centenarians: High total cholesterol, high iron, low glucose. - Highest LDL-C = longest lifespans (backed by Dr. Uffe Ravnskov & Dr. Malcolm Kendrick). Dangers of low cholesterol: - LDL <70 mg/dL → 3X higher risk of brain-bleeding strokes. - Total <180 mg/dL → Skyrocketing cancer & dementia rates. - <150 mg/dL → Increased chronic diseases like cancer & autoimmunity. - Statins? They don't extend life—damage mitochondria & hormones instead. Why your body CRAVES cholesterol: - Builds every cell & powerhouse mitochondria. - Absorbs vital vitamins A, D, E, K. - Powers digestion via bile acids. - Supercharges immunity against infections, viruses, bacteria, pathogens—even cancer. - Fights depression, suicide, dementia & cognitive decline. - Shields from toxins, heavy metals, strokes, heart disease & osteoporosis. - Fuels ALL steroid hormones (low chol = low testosterone & libido). - Lowers all-cause mortality risk. Pro tip: Go low-carb, load up on nutrient-dense animal foods. Grass fed beef, pastured eggs, wild caught seafood...Dump seed oils, sugar & processed garbage. Target TG/HDL ratio <1.5 for elite heart health. Tight budget like me?? Seek out a local farmer, butcher & farm market & make a 'bulk large sale deal' for beef at $5/lb & eggs $4/Dz Are you ditching your statin yet? Tell me in the comments, I read every reply & do my best to respond to every question! If I miss your question...PLEASE DM direct message me! I truly care about you & your health!👇🔥

So today I called my doctor to book bloodwork to check my vitamin D levels. The conversation went roughly like this: Me: I have had issues with keeping up my vitamin D level over winter, so I would like them checked. Secretary: I can't help you with that. If you don't have any symptoms of vitamin D deficiency, we can't help. Me: I don't have symptoms, but I would like to stay healthy and prevent disease. Secretary: If you get symptoms, I can book you in. Me: This has nothing to do with healthcare; it is only sick care! There is no intention to work on prevention and keeping people healthy! Have a great day. Goodbye.

For the last many years, my vitamin D3 levels have been low in the winter – no surprise, since I live in Denmark. I’ve tried supplementing with D3 + K2, both in oil and as pills, but it hasn’t really worked for me. So this winter I’m trying something different. Hopefully I’ll see normal D3 levels in a month or two. Do you think this will work?

YOUR TRIGLYCERIDES REVEAL THE TRUTH LONG BEFORE YOUR BLOOD SUGAR AND HBA1C. If your triglycerides are above 150 then your body is struggling to handle carbohydrates. If your triglycerides are above 200, you are likely to have fatty liver and your HDL will drop. If your triglycerides are above 250 then your post meal blood sugar will likely be high. If your triglycerides are above 400, your entire metabolic system is misfiring. Think of high carb, sugar and alcohol. Diabetes and fatty liver are almost guaranteed. Triglycerides above 500, high risk of pancreatitis. Immediate dietary intervention needed.

@SchultzJonna The thing is that for the first time in two years I feelt a bit of unexplainable sadness the other day. It wanished after the I went to the tanning bed! It might not be D3, but something else but it worked.

How do you take your Vit D3 (sunlight or orally)? It may matter according to a study: It seems like Vit D taken orally upregulates interferon whereas Vit D from sunlight modulates an overactive immune system. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC54…
