@JuliaHB1 Who has ever claimed that every single immigrant is a net economic benefit? Plenty have rightly claimed that immigrants as a group are a net economic benefit. But no one has ever claimed that is true for every single one, even the most down on their luck.

I'm confused. If immigrants are such an economic benefit to the UK, working in vital jobs and paying tax, why on earth would they need to claim any benefits? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s SNP MP Lara Bird gleefully saying how she was supporting Norway and Mexico when they played England in the World Cup. As a Scot, I find this mentality embarrassing. As Scotland are out of the World Cup, I hope England win the tournament.

Here's where I differ from a lot of Scottish and Irish people, even the Welsh. Although I have no English blood in me whatsoever, it's all Celtic, I will still support England, as much as I would support Scotland, Ireland or Wales - I don't put up with the anti England tripe.

Scotland what happened to you? In the 80s the home nations supported each other except when head to head. The 90s brought banter but this got darker and morphed into hate about 10-15 years ago. Why are so many Scotland fans annoyed because English fans couldn't give a toss whether or not they support England in the World Cup? Why can't they accept that no one in England could care less?

One thing to come out of this World Cup for me is my disdain for the Scots. I used to feel indifferent towards them but now I'll be actively cheering against them in qualifying and any major tournament they fluke their way into. Cretinous bunch.
