This story is HUGE! On 26 November 2021 a barge loaded with fish food for the caged salmon in Portree Bay sank. Instead of salvaging it the company left it on the seabed. Why? Well, perhaps since recovering it could have cost more than it was worth. So, keep calm and carry on?

Since 2018 there's been a staggering 1,735 doses of shellfish-killing toxic chemicals (Deltamethrin, Azamethiphos & Emamectin) including 868 doses of Emamectin which scientists @ScottishEPA recommended banning in 2016 (with a two-year phase out)! tinyurl.com/289ykffz

It’s rare that a single industry encapsulates the worst excesses of neocolonialism, habitat destruction, astroturfing and corrupting the public realm but salmon farming really is the worst of all possible worlds.
