At @CNBC Cures today, we heard a powerful reminder of why so many of us have stayed in this field for decades: patients. The books below from @AlexionPharma highlight rare disease stories — a testament to the real people at the center of every scientific discovery and policy debate. Appreciate Tamar Thompson and the Alexion team for helping elevate these voices. #CNBCCures #RareDisease

Our new 50-state poll of 20,000+ Americans shows broad frustration with hospital markups and drug middlemen. Nearly 9 in 10 are concerned about hospital price markups, and 80% support PBM reforms that pass savings directly to patients. It's clear: Voters want action on #PBMs and #340B abuses. I was honored to sit down with Ashley Magargee, CEO of @Genentech, on behalf of @PhRMA to discuss their leadership role in American biopharmaceutical development, and fostering an innovation-friendly policy environment to benefit patients all over the U.S. Watch the full conversation here: youtube.com/watch?v=SFdn-Y…

Yesterday’s hearing highlighted a stark reality in American health care. The five largest health insurers aren’t just insurance companies — they are massive health care empires, controlling insurance plans, PBMs, medical providers and pharmacies under one roof. Today, just three health insurers control half of the market, and three PBMs control 80 percent of drug benefits — leaving patients with fewer choices and less competition.

New Jersey just enacted important cost-sharing reform with the Ensuring Fairness in Cost-Sharing Amounts Act. This law ensures third-party assistance counts toward patients’ copays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket costs. A real win for patients, and a reform years in the making.

Honored to join FL State Senator @Gayle_Harrell on the @ElectedWomen Across America podcast. We talked about how patients can see lower costs at the pharmacy counter and the great ideas that state legislators are pushing forward to make that happen. Grateful for the opportunity to share @PhRMA’s perspective and appreciate Senator Harrell’s leadership. Listen here: open.spotify.com/episode/45UWBg…

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m proud of the progress the @PhRMA team has made keeping patients at the center of conversations on 340B, PBM reform, and access to and affordability of medicines. Grateful for all the partnership—and optimistic about what’s ahead as we continue to hold the line for US patients and innovation. Cheers to a healthy 2026!
