Four CCIE certifications, two JNCIE certifications, and a CCDE make me an awfully unique kinda guy! (And tired) :) http://t.co/BPbbvE2lcL

@danieldibswe @Peter_Paluch @petergjones Just a thought, but have you tried the way back machine (archive.org)?
English

Is anyone aware how to access Draft A, B, and C of 802 from the early 80’s? I guess they aren’t in IEEE DB if they aren’t approved standards?
Do you know @Peter_Paluch @petergjones ?
English

@pearce_ems Hehehe… Funniest moment at a client (not either one of these) was when there was a Sysco USB flash drive sticking out of a Cisco router. Had to laugh at the irony.
English

@RoseSecOps Just further proof that girls are more expensive overall? Perhaps it's a value prop thing. Usually can't tell that until later in life. ;) Best of luck!
English

@citylifematt Heheh. You can only hope you gave them the tools to succeed! I have one 13 hours away and another 9 hours away. So nothing is easy, but I still remember my college days and hope they are thriving. For all else, there’s Amazon. :)
English

@gabsmashh @praisebacon Ha! Just further proof that everything is better with bacon? :)
English

@TracketPacer Well thought out video, and very true! Hopefully you get all good comments about it! Wish you the best!
English

i havent shared too many thoughts on this bc frankly i dont think anyone wants or needs 2 hear them. i did make a video back in march addressing 1 aspect of being “very visible” that i only posted to tiktok bc i felt kinda weird about it. but here’s part of it if u r interested

@TracketPacer @John_Capobianco You two are genuinely Nerd-Famous now. With great power comes great responsibility.
English

@danieldibswe I would put an access switch into my “core” wiring closet then. Keep consistency for configurations, security, troubleshooting and overall simplicity!
English

Here's an interesting network #design question. Let's say you have an MDF and IDF. You have a Collapsed Core design with Core switch in MDF and Access switch in IDF. Physically you have users coming in via MDF. Do you allow users to connect to Core or add a switch in MDF?

English

@danieldibswe @Peter_Paluch This is so true. I remember getting my first CCIE (last century) and going across the street from the Halifax CCIE testing lab and just laying down in the grass and thinking "Oh my, now people think I know everything and all I realize is how much I don't know!".
English

One of the best explanations I've ever seen to what it means to become #CCIE certified (or other expert level certs) from the maestro and my brother @Peter_Paluch
Life long learning. Sending the ladder back down. Things that matter a lot to me personally.

My daughter, Sydney has a digital art piece entered in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. (Sorted by first name, her piece "The Fall" is the last one listed.)

@LadyNetwkr I'm so sorry to hear that about your mother. Still hoping for the best for you. Unfortunately though, typically those who deserve karma-level punishment do not seem to get it. Keep hoping for balance in the universe though!

Great season! A contest to enter for free bourbon or whiskey! swee.ps/PZSck_CZOicdS
English

Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment! I'll spare your the whole "great power, great responsibility" speech. You'll do well! :)

Now that it is official in our system and intranet, I can publish it: I have been promoted to Principal Engineer role in Verizon. This is the biggest milestone in my career so far. Right on time before turning 29 years old next December.
English

@MalwareJake So help me understand on this. One cannot reasonably expect privacy when doing something in a public place. And if concerned about what evidence may be obtained, wouldn't that be a great example of the "in plain sight" rule?
English

@etherealmind Very true. Much like contracts, perhaps work from home option should be milestone based. Measure by achievements, not number of hours sitting in a specified location!
English

@Marbell28 I agree, and there seems to be an awful lot of that going on these days! Everyone should look for input, but make decisions on their own. Whatever is right for one person and their circumstances is not necessarily right for everyone else!
English

@ScottMorrisCCIE I ignore people like her now. Getting my CCNA and CCNP did more for my knowledge level and career in just a few years than the previous decade. I’ll never stop going for them because it forces you to continue learning. This person is spreading dangerous information.
English

Well, I think I’d say that if we were the examples of not amounting to anything, we’ve done pretty well for ourselves and should be an inspiration to others to amount to so little. ;) #UnderachieversUnite
English

@DavidSudjiman @Jason_Gooley What is important for everyone to understand is that even if you “only” attempt the CCIE exam, you are still far better off than many others. And that journey WILL indeed make you a better engineer. Certification or not, still better than if you didn’t try.
English

Saw this and had to laugh! Definitely missed @jason_gooley at the canceled #CLUS this year! And many others too! Hope everyone is surviving!!
English

Ha! Never thought of making my comp plan in RegEx…. Guess I should have thought of that before running my own company! :)
Neil Moore@ccie10044
@MattWhiteCCIE @ScottMorrisCCIE @RootRiff Nothing wrong with 150K base especially if on a 50/50 sales plan with accelerators. Nothing wrong being a ultra l?earner (regex there :))
