@GolfingCPA06 @vogeygolf That’s a nice gesture but never expected. All most guys ask is to just adhere to the Ballyneal motto “don’t be a d…”

Many have talked about how amazing the X/Golf community is. Lots of doors that can be opened. At the core is the people. Be interested in building core relationship. Show passion for the game. Take an interesting in learning. Lots of smart people here. Respect the game.

@JD_Patrick As someone who played there last year (didn’t ask Jeffrey BTW) I have a few things to say: Being “fixated” on playing anywhere is wrong. It’s like showing up Saturday morning with one thought: you’re going to shoot a certain score. You have to be focused on the process.

@Top100Rick Links golf is the best. No question. Fortunate to have a bit of that version at my club. #downwithbrown.

A good friend of mine is playing golf in Scotland for the first time.
He just sent me this text. 😍
He’s a great player, member of a great club, played tons of USA T100’s.
And yet after just 2 days he has seen the light. He gets it. He now sees what golf can be.
If you haven’t been, book that trip to Scotland!

@Top100Rick I can't recall as many misses on 15 long and into the pond as I saw this year. Balls just raced down the hill and into the water.

5 Takeaways from the 2026 Masters:
1: There is no such thing as a “free wheeling” Rory. He wants to not care as much, but he always will. Winning a Masters is never easy.
2: Scottie is still the best hitter of the golf ball and it’s not that close.
3: The Masters is at risk of overexposure for the first time. The Par 3 and non stop coverage and merch hauls and social media is too much.
4. Back 9 pressure is real. The setup wasn’t super hard. No wind. And yet bad shots were hit over and over.
5. Augusta National is the best golf course. The risk and reward scenario is presented here better than anywhere in golf. It’s more strategic than any other golf course that exists.

@feedtheball @oldtoccoafarm Didn’t that group build Bayside in Ogallala NE?

Posting pics that randomly come up on my phone carousel.
This is the par-3 8th at @oldtoccoafarm in North Georgia, designed by Dave Axland, Dan Proctor & Jack Dredla over a 12-year period from around 2005 to 2017.
Seriously underrated and overlooked course.

@JerdogSmith I did a double take because I couldn't believe he said something so silly.

@RossSocietyPres @CPATaxTeam @andrewjcarr29 @GCAJoeA @Top100Rick @bill_cseplo @fanofrockytop My question was directed at the OP asking if juniors should have a different dues structure than regular members, and correlating that to the local versus national members' dues structure. I don't have an issue with that, curious as to what others think.
English

@ScottSzabo @CPATaxTeam @andrewjcarr29 @GCAJoeA @Top100Rick @bill_cseplo @fanofrockytop That tends to come into play based on the location and/or quality of the gca. If you’re a national and joined specifically to travel to the club to play, you should play whenever you want.
English

Should a golf club with a $200,000 initiation have the same monthly dues for all golf members, or have cheaper monthly dues for Juniors under 40? They still pay the $200k. @GCAJoeA @Top100Rick @bill_cseplo @fanofrockytop @RossSocietyPres @andrewjcarr29
English

@CPATaxTeam @andrewjcarr29 @GCAJoeA @Top100Rick @bill_cseplo @fanofrockytop @RossSocietyPres Given this, I’m curious to get your thoughts on local versus national memberships and the difference in dues structure.
English

@andrewjcarr29 @GCAJoeA @Top100Rick @bill_cseplo @fanofrockytop @RossSocietyPres They get to pay the initiation out over the time until they are 40, or 5 years, whichever is longer.
The discussion is around giving them full golf privileges when they only pay 70% dues. Do you think most clubs limit access or should grant priority to full dues members?
English

@BryanTweed16 @Golfandbeer1 2007. Incredible how much elevation change there is. TV does not do it justice. Also how large the mound is in front of 11 green.

@jliebertgolf #2 love the way it turns and opens up to the valley after the tee shot

Okay, so most of the picks were on the back nine. If you had one hole to play on the front nine which hole are you picking?

Which hole would you most want to play at Augusta National Golf Club?

@mikeclaytongolf @Top100Rick @CPATaxTeam Four Mile Ranch in Canon City, Colorado is a Jim Engh course with no bunkers. Never played it so can't comment on whether it's good or not, but probably isn't a "great" course.
English

@Top100Rick @CPATaxTeam Someone needs to do a great course with no bunkers.
English

50 years from now, we’ll look back at this period and see dozens of the same course built to mimic great golf architecture. This picture looks like it could be several other courses.

Got the victory on The Bad Little Nine. -1 feels like a 59. Highlight is “Host John” with an ace on #3…proper!

@Top100Rick I played a round at Bally with a member from KH a few years ago. He raved about the place and said it was the top course in Australia in his mind.

Kingston Heath
#24 World Top 100
Private
The course that Rory McIlroy famously said is better than Royal Melbourne.
How is it? Is it really THAT good?
Spoiler alert: YES IT IS
The Melbourne sandbelt is littered with world class golf courses and
Kingston is near the top.
Designed by the club staff in 1909, Alister Mackenzie consulted in 1926 and his legacy is still felt. The course is one of the more strategic courses you will play.
The bunkering is fabulous and everywhere. With the trademark sand belt bunker edging, the bunkers become extensions of the greens. Combined with firm turf, they become ball magnets.
The course is flat overall, but has enough movement to keep interest. There are blind shots on a few holes, but mostly the course is in front of you.
The strategic test is constant. Thanks to the firm turf and excellent bunker placement, angles matter. Sometimes it’s better to be in the waste areas than the fairway, if the angle is bad enough.
The greens are varied and the surrounds are super testing. Putting off the green is always a wide choice here, chipping off these tight lies requires adept hands.
Kingston is a true class and truly belongs in the top 25 courses in the world.

@MidwestGolfJake You should let me take your place and stay healthy

This prompts a question. I am going to Bandon in 2027. It will almost certainly be my first rounds of 2027.
How should I train to be ready to walk 36 per day for 3 straight days? Should I take a caddie for every round?
Any other tips to prep me?
Thomas Bendelow@BendelowThomas
@BryanTweed16 Totally understand this. When I went down to Streamsong a few weeks ago and walked 36, after not playing four months, I thought I was going to die
