As frustrating and disappointing the passed few days have been I know throwing a header in here would be so much worse. We are lucky enough to have good bulk and nice green leaf to hopefully make some good quality hay. #frost

Last week on a dewy morning I found more slugs in lentils ringbarking stems and causing dieback - hot weather and windy conditions also snapping weakened stems. @merindie1 will a dry summer and low soil moisture stop them?

@MickFoott The bom are not always reliable but the blame needs to be put on the farmer Ordering some early to cover supply rather than worrying about price spreads your risk The days of suppliers having everything in stock all the time are gone

Defund the BOM Because of their hysterical forecast I’d say urea importers decided not to bring much product into the country now we have a great start to the season and no Urea available

Air box hose sucked flat and let chaff into the turbo. Current problem we have is the intercooler has a heap of chaff dust blocking the inside of it. Any suggestions for where to take it to get it cleaned, maybe acid bathed? Located in Mid North SA, happy to run it to Adelaide

@allifarm I don’t mind paying a fair price but the parts used for my repairs should be made of gold for what they cost

@ScottWeckert Agree totally what cost 1000 2 years ago now is 2000 with no real justification for it other than they can since grains are high 🖕get the lube out and bend over

Received an invoice for a header breakdown today and nearly died of shock. The mark up on parts and labour cost is getting beyond a joke. Also change over cost on new machinery. At what point does it become unsustainable. It can’t keep going up at the rate it is.

Looking at buying a piece of machinery in WA and Will need it freighted back to SA. Is there a good place to look for someone heading east who needs a load?

@WilleraMerinos We tried to use it a couple years ago in the winter and when cold it was hopeless Had more luck in the spring when warmer It has good merits but just too hard so give it a miss now

Has anyone got any tips for using Coopers Maverick, frustrating the hell out of me at the viscosity of it, tried the suction out of the bottom of the drum, drum up high, shortening the suction and only using a 1/3 of the race, even tried the big power doser used for Eureka Gold

Despite initial reports out of #China downplaying the impact on crops and #agricultural infrastructure following the recent flooding in #HenanProvince, some market analysis expect that the floods will put significant pressure on the nation’s food supply.

@ScottWeckert Got a 50ft Grainrite. Good-Capacity👍🏿. Excellent build quality. Clutch easy to use and adjust. Bad-Steering takes a little to get used to and the brake is rubbish.

Don’t have many followers so keen to have this retweeted. What are peoples thoughts and experiences with Grainrite and Grainline augers. Both good and bad. Thanks
