@LPiccenna Also, the share market bouncing meant that the amount of “surplus” being reported depends largely on which dates you include. Who would have guessed that the share market would rally during the pandemic and then drop afterwards.

@LPiccenna TBH I don’t think the seemingly excessive redundancies are an indicator of foul play on the part of Universities. I just think that they overestimated the loss of income they were going to incur.
