@animathias I never owned this one back then, but Mega Man 4 was the first Mega Man game I ever saw, and it absolutely blew my mind. Not long after, I got hold of Mega Man 1 and 2, and eventually worked my way through all six NES entries.

I feel like Mega Man 4 doesn't get the attention it deserves. 2 and 3 understandably take a good bit of the spotlight away from the rest of the NES series. The addition of the charge shot is a landmark, and it hosts some of my favorite stages and weapons in the games #RetroGaming

@ShitpostRock2 “Open WinRAR from the BIOS” is a sentence powerful enough to make every motherboard manufacturer quietly leave the industry. But no, “Add to archive” creates a separate zip/rar. It doesn’t replace the Windows folder unless you specifically told it to delete the originals.

@TMW_14101987 @javier078 Agreed. DS9 and Voyager are prime examples of this. Both are still stuck on DVD, with no Blu-ray release in sight, because doing a proper remaster would cost too much and, in the studio’s eyes, simply isn’t worth the investment.

@TMW_14101987 @javier078 “Move with the times” only works if the newer format actually replaces the older one in availability, affordability, and catalogue depth. Blu-ray and 4K are better formats, sure, but thousands of films are still DVD-only, out of print, region-locked, or absurdly expensive in HD.

@SeasonedPixels @javier078 Well, yeah. Move with the times & to the next advancement in technological format. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Like, I don't think 8K is going to become a thing as 4K hasn't taken off as it should, but if it did, I'd be already for buying an 8K TV & 8K Blu's, then in which case, phase out 4K.

@raunak_yadush I would not expect a magic gaming ping improvement. At most, it may make DNS behaviour cleaner and reduce possible DNS leakage. Once a game server connection is established, this setting is not what determines your in-game latency.

Windows 11 has been secretly slowing your DNS resolution by 40% this whole time and adding hidden connection delays in Valorant, Fortnite, and CSGO2. Here's the fix they don't want you to know about Win+R → gpedit.msc → Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Network → DNS Client → Turn off smart multi-homed name resolution → Enabled → Apply → OK → Restart PC 40% faster DNS. Lower ping. Instant results in every online game.

Valve’s new Steam Machine will probably cost $600 to $650, according to the well-known leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead. He says the basic 512 GB version is more expensive than he previously thought, because memory and storage parts have gotten way more expensive lately. He says if Valve charges over $700, it’s a bad idea and you’d get better value from a regular PS5 (which costs about $500–600 right now) or a similar gaming PC for around $700–750. For heavy Steam users, $600 could make it a smart buy. But if the price goes higher, most people would probably choose a PS5 for its exclusive games or a full PC that you can upgrade later. Valve hasn’t announced the official price yet. Back in the 2010s, their first Steam Machines didn’t sell well for the same reason.

Japan is now using very cheap cardboard drones built for large group attacks and missions where they can be lost after use. The main body is made from thick cardboard with a water-resistant coating. Each one costs about 2,000 to 2,500 US dollars, lower than many home gaming computers. The drones come flat like folded boxes, so many can ship in one big container. Anyone can assemble one in about 5 minutes with no special tools. >The drones can fly up to 150km at speeds between 45 and 120 kmph. >They stay in the air for one to 2 and a half hours and can carry small items like cameras or tools to block enemy signals. Japan can build and deploy hundreds quickly. The cardboard also makes them harder for enemy radar to detect. The low price means the drones do not need to return safely and work well for training, decoys, scouting, or swarming enemy defenses. Japan is investing more in these simple, mass-produced drones. One 2,000-dollar drone can force an enemy to waste a much costlier missile.

@Radios4Freedom @slavoury @an_improbable_f Yup, AI/CG rendering. Looks amazing, but unless one only plans on going forward, that front wheel is not turning. The handlebar doesn’t appear mechanically connected to a fork or steering stem, and the wheel is boxed in by panels/bracing that would block rotation anyway.

@slavoury @an_improbable_f Oh give it up. If you are suggesting this has Hub Centre Steering, that's even MORE laughable!🤣 There is ZERO clearance for the tire to turn even a few degrees...and the faring can't move with it, it'd hit the radiator. There is NO VIABLE STEERING OPTION on this CG modelling.

鈴森はるか 『haruka suzumori』 🇯🇵
A few days ago I posted a couple videos of a black lady who was kicking trees outside of a shrine and calling Japan "ghetto". In response, she told her 250000 TikTok followers to "Find this HARUKA SUZUMORI" and to find my Instagram to expose my identity. She makes many false claims here which I'll address: 1. Almost all of my posts are in English so the idea my Japanese is 'unnatural' is wrong. 30% of my followers are Japanese and the 70% are foreign. 2. I am not a "dude". I have posted pictures of myself here before. I regularly post pictures of my hands, side of my face, etc which clearly do not belong to a man. 3. I don't post to 'make money' by posting your videos. Third party videos here are demonetized by 90%. 4. Threatening to track me down is actually illegal in Japan. I have been very clear about who I am: I am an office worker who is from Japan. I often talk about my family, my upbringing, my political and social views. I do not post where I live or my contact info. If this is exposed by you or your 250000 followers, I will make sure you face deportation.
