Today, I am designating Afghanistan as a State Sponsor of Wrongful Detention. The Taliban continue to use terrorist tactics to seek policy concessions, but it won’t work under this administration. The Taliban must release Dennis Coyle, Mahmood Habibi, and all Americans unjustly detained in Afghanistan.

The Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood, trained and supported by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has been designated by @StateDept as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and Specially Designated Global Terrorist for mass executions of civilians. We will continue to use all available tools to deprive the Iranian regime and Muslim Brotherhood chapters of the resources they need to engage in or support terrorism.

Met today with several heads of government on the margins of the Shield of the Americas Summit in Florida. I want to thank our partners for joining the United States in a shared commitment to combat the destabilizing forces of transnational criminal organizations and narco-terrorists in our region.

This week, the UN is attempting to pass the first global carbon tax , which will increase energy, food, and fuel costs across the world.  We will not allow the UN to tax American citizens and companies.
