@GreggsOfficial how do I add an egiftcard onto the Greggs app? It says online you can in the wallet but only gives me the option to top up (with cash)?
@politicshome@Qualcomm I would trade speed for coverage any day of the week. Rural areas (and not in the middle of the Highlands, just out of town northern England) have terrible coverage and many times my only connection is via satellite
6G will be far more than a faster connection. It will reshape how we live and work.
Tom Corcoran, Government Affairs Director at @Qualcomm, says the UK must take a proactive approach to deployment if it wants to lead.

@nicolec_o It didn’t used to be this way in England. I have researched my family history for several decades and with the newspaper archives now online it’s clear that this 3 week delay has come about over the last 25-30 years. In the 50s to the 70s death and cremation was 2-3 days apart
See in Ireland when you die we’d have you buried in the same week you die and usually have the body in family members house with open coffin till funeral, how come in England it’s like weeks until you’re buried after you die?
@archer_rs If he'd spent two minutes on Google he would have learned that there is a basic allowance paid to cover costs, usually around £5k pa, with other payments for those with responsibilities. It's public service FFS.
Apparently a newly elected Reform councillor just discovered, live on air, that the position is unpaid. I'm told he said,
"Well bugger that for a game of soldiers" and promptly walked out of the interview.
@emmybooth It states it at the bottom - you’ve been using more water every day, so this increased direct debit is partially recovering the cost of this water. If you’re on a meter you don’t pay a fixed amount every year, it’s reassessed every year to account for usage.
I am so fed up with bills I can’t justify and nor should they 2 years ago £30 a month for my water last year £65 and one year later a 25% increase now £81 a month????! I feel like refusing until wages go up by
25% too - council tax nearly £300 a month this is fucking insane
@TNLUK I rang the helpline and they confirmed that currently no new direct debits can be set up by anyone for the next couple of weeks. They are supposed to be letting you know but if they don’t here you go
@Secretshrimp As I don't have access to your account I cannot see why this error is occuring. Please keep trying to contact us, and an agent will help with this.

@TNLUK Both options are a waste of time - chat is giving no useful information and the phone option is taking minutes giving more and more information yet no one is answering. It is showing the “dd is unavailable” message even when I’m logged out
@Secretshrimp If you give us a call on 0333 234 44 33, one of our agents will be able to look into this for you. Alternatively you can start a Webchat by clicking the link below:

@ColeFusionHQ A pair of crutches which has proved very useful as my hyper mobile son injured his ankle again, literally could not put weight on it for several days and A&E said he couldn’t have crutches. He would have to hop around 🤯
the NHS spends £15m a year replacing equipment that patients never gave back.
crutches in the loft. oxygen machines in the lounge. wheelchairs in the garage. walking frames behind the sofa.
what NHS equipment has your family quietly kept
@therealstephen6@Elizabe13014545 Anyone opted out of SERPS pre 2016 who continued to work and pay NI after 2016 will by now have “caught up” and they will now receive the maximum of £241 per week (assuming overall they have enough NI years)
@Elizabe13014545 Not true. Firstly it depends on National Insurance contributions. Secondly, public sector workers who were opted out of SIPS don’t get the higher amount even if they retired after 2016 with >35 yrs contributions.
I think a lot of people do not realise that there are now 2 types of state pension. Those who reach state pension age on or after 6th April 2016 will now get £241.30 per week those who retired before that date will get £184.90.
@irenep671 My husband is still waiting since mid Jan for results of a cardiac MRI. They said 4-6 weeks. Can’t book a holiday and get any insurance as he’s awaiting test results.
Why does it take 4 to 6 weeks in NHS for MRI reports to be generated when PRIVATE MRI can be turned round in less than 24 hours ; on an EASTER BANK HOLIDAY?
@MaxTesto3763841@PaulKetchley@ladyC1900 Ask her how much her pension pot is worth then! She hasn’t got one as it’s a defined benefit scheme not a defined contrib scheme. Her contributions and some of the contribs her employer makes buy future pension at a fixed rate, and rest pays pensions in payment for past staff.
Can anyone give me a valid reason why public sector workers get a 29% state funded pension & workers in the private sector get an avg of 3-6% and fund the public sector on top.
Workers are workers & taxpayers .
So what makes one sector more worthy ?
@LeeHurstComic It’s on prescription where you are unable to buy sufficient over the counter. No one gets a pack or two on prescription. It’s for folk taking 8 a day all month.
NHS Money saving idea.
Instead of GPs giving Paracetamol on prescription, at great expense to the NHS, just supply GP surgeries with boxes of paracetamol to dish out.
You’re welcome.
