From becoming the first American to orbit the Earth in 1962 to serving Ohio as a devoted Senator, John Glenn dedicated his life to the advancement of technology, innovation, and discovery. His spirit of exploration continues to inspire Ohioans and will keep our Buckeye state a national leader in flight for generations to come!

The enforcement of CDL standards is a matter of life and death. 21 year-old Tobias Forsyth did not deserve to lose his life at the hands of a driver who needed a translator to communicate with first responders at the crash site. Thank you to President Trump for upholding CDL requirements to restore safety on our roads and stand up for innocent American lives.

Before leading the Union to victory in the Civil War and serving as the 18th President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant grew up in Georgetown, Ohio. Born Hiram Ulysses Grant, he received the name "Ulysses S. Grant" after a clerical error on his West Point appointment—a mistake that became part of American history. As a proud Ohioan, I was honored to support last night’s House passage of H.R. 7809 to designate the Georgetown Post Office as the "Ulysses S. Grant Post Office Building." This designation helps preserve the legacy of one of our nation's greatest military leaders and presidents while recognizing one of Ohio's own whose leadership helped shape the course of American history.

Every day I drive 20 minutes past cow fields and RV parks to work at a "rural" county hospital. @AlexBerenson just exposed that NY Presbyterian - in Manhattan’s Upper East Side - classifies itself as "rural" too, scamming Medicare for larger reimbursements. This is a travesty. Rural status keeps small-town hospitals alive: fewest resources, sickest patients, and massive uncompensated costs from illegals (20-40% of patients on any given day). Margins are razor-thin, exec pay modest (mostly low six figures, some higher). Meanwhile, NY Presby rakes in $11B+ revenue, pays its CEO $22M, and funds a massive complex of DEI programs, NGOs, and a gender clinic for kids. The issue is not the massive profit margin itself but that big city giants are scamming a program that is essential for the rural hospitals that actually need it. Hopefully someone in DC can do something about it but I won't hold my breath.

Serving Ohio businesses and families alike, the new @RumpkeNews Clermont County Transfer Depot in Union Township speeds up the waste collection process by consolidating materials before they are transported to their final destination. I received a tour of their facilities from CEO Bill Rumpke Jr. and talked with his leadership team about the impact federal legislation has on this industry, as well as the company's plans for future growth. It’s wonderful seeing our local businesses grow and develop, and it makes me optimistic about what the next few years hold for southern Ohio!
