Chairman @SenCapito: I applaud the Trump @EPA’s latest proposal to delay compliance deadlines for Biden-era vehicle emissions standards, which mandated a shift toward electric vehicles that Americans don’t want to buy. I appreciate @EPALeeZeldin and the Trump Administration’s sustained efforts to defend consumer choice and reduce costs for Americans.

Chairman @SenCapito was pleased to hear about the @EPA’s new proposed rule to revise ELGs for steam electric power plants. The Biden EPA’s 2024 ELG Rule, which was a part of the Biden EPA’s EGU strategy, aimed to eliminate coal from our nation’s energy mix by imposing unreasonable and unachievable restrictions on coal plants. Chairman Capito spoke with @EPALeeZeldin yesterday during an @AppropsGOP hearing about this burdensome rule and is grateful to see the EPA take action to lower electricity costs and support reliable baseload power.
