The most terrifying age is 40. Not because you’re getting old or have some grey hair, but because your perception of time completely changes. At 40, life is f*cking serious. If you have kids and don’t work hard, they starve and end up getting a bad education. You also see the difference between those who f*cked around and figured it out and those that settled for mediocre. The stark difference will rip your face off. A person who could have done a lot and didn’t by 40 has wasted the best years of their life. It’s sad to see. By 40, the lifestyle you chose becomes obvious. Your hair turns grey or falls out if you abuse your body. You end up with a pot belly if you eat like sh*t. If you don’t go to the gym you have no energy. Something else happens. Your parents either die or have multiple near-misses. You start to realise they will be dead one day and you’re in charge of your bloodline. This responsibility weighs on you. Even cooler, the knob heads in high school who made fun of you or thought they were cool are not modern day losers. They work dead end jobs and watch sports with a beer to numb their pain. They don’t dare f*ck with your aura anymore. Pessimism can often set in to. You start to obsess over news and politics. You think the government will save you or that billionaires are evil for doing what you refused to do. Jealousy gets ugly. It becomes a realise valve. The best place to deploy it is on social media. You rage post comments calling stuff scams and trying to discredit people. But it doesn’t work. People ignore you because they know you’re a little b*tch. For many people, 40 becomes a moment of either radical transformation or a slow decline. The crazy part isn’t turning 40. It’s realizing how much time you wasted being trapped by fear.

My main takeaways: + Ethos can never be perfect because it deals with chaotic human behaviour + Ethos is a system that operates on self-reflection and iterates in quick cycles + The Ethos founder is not a jerk; he is obsessed with trying to solve an impossible problem + Anyone saying Ethos is pay-to-win has obviously not used the app enough + To make Ethos do what it's intended to do requires YOU to start helping it become a trusted network - it only works if everyone gets involved ALL web3 founders should read the postmortem and take notes on how to deal with crisis PR and community feedback in general. Ethos everywhere. Vive lè France

Had a good call with @serpinxbt last night Discussed a lot from his influence and ability to slash, mobs operating on the platform and some of my comments and accusations Main takeaway is they’re trying to solve a really hard problem Some issues I brought up aren’t Ethos issues, but human nature issues Not even web2 platforms have figured out how to handle this In order for them to solve it and better the platform, they have to go through these kind of events The downside is it’s all in public They’ll be dropping a full report on the slash, voting behaviors and more in the next 48 hours-ish I think a lot of good will come from this event to help improve Ethos overall

Just got my first ever negative review on Ethos! Looking at their profile, their top reviews are from Ethos PFPs with titles like "top Ethos user" (I didn't know that merited a positive review) But the funniest part is the review broke 100 upvotes in the first 2 hours Tell me you're using an Ethos farm channel without telling me Isn't this the exact behavior that makes review platforms useless? The same way you wouldn't trust a review bomb on yelp or fake 5 star reviews on amazon or IMDB What's the point of the platform if there's an Ethos cabal that votes together or blindly follows Serpin? ----- As for my original post below, I was misinformed on Buz changing his vote. He hadn't voted. He just spoke out against slashing, and then slashed anyways This + a few other 2,000+ scores slashing in the final minutes looks like manipulation IN MY OPINION As for Serpin attempting to sway people, this 100% happened. I won't leak dms, so if they want to speak up, it's their call ----- As for the negative review, I'm not going to retaliate because idgaf

Imagine showing up to work on time every single day for a year Then one day you show up 15 minutes late, and your year end review is negative due to tardiness That's how a lot of people review on Ethos

Funny how often I'm getting shadow tagged about the Hydraze slash on Ethos. Also interesting how many people are angry that Serpin didn't lose rather than being happy for Hydraze that the slash wasn't successful. I was probably hands down, the most outspoken person against the slash procedurally, I personally felt it should have waited until after the court decision. Anyone in the validator holders chat will confirm the discussions I had around it. That's the comment on the slash that keeps getting shadow quoted. However, I also think that the evidence against Hydraze in the court docs is pretty damning and his reputation probably should be lower because of it. A stalemate was the right outcome in my opinion, no one gains, no one loses. If you didn't know, pretty everything except XP is onchain with Ethos. That means you can look up what the votes are on any given slash if you so wished. It's a known flaw in the system and one hopefully fixed in the next contract upgrade. This was used by at least one "defend" focused group to monitor the voting system in real time. I know because I was also keeping an eye on their shitty, broken, hastily vibecoded site. When I voted, the vote was already at stalemate, the outcome I thought appropriate, and voted to add to that. Whilst screaming manipulation, figure out who was making sites *especially* for this slash.

Meh, I didn't agree with how Serpin handled it either, but your 1 livestream + 2 posts + time in the replies is content creation or, in your own words, a marketing stunt too I mean, you went from criticizing the slashing on stream to "I like the platform and I want my airdrop" to "idgaf + i got manipulation receipts" in almost the same day pick one lane man ———— Ethos needs data, opinions and ofc participation to work so expecting accurate scores when only a few participate is the real nonsense and this isn't just about you, but each time I see the same argument from different ppl I go check their profile and they've only pos reviewed their pals you can't expect the top of the LB to be good without registering your opinions pick one lane ppl you're also calling out r4r, which is a reality but it's not a unique problem that Ethos invented every review and rep system ever built has them, platforms with BNs in rev and over a decade of iteration still deal with both daily, you even mentioned some of them that said, the critique shouldn't be that the platform has these issues but whether Ethos is iterating to fix them because if not... ———— ... the best way to criticize Ethos is on... Ethos because the record is permanent and you're hitting the source directly and this goes for everyone (then you can even post about it for the content creation side of things too) my point is that a neg review or a slash from you would carry more weight with your audience that trusts you than whatever number sits on someone's Ethos profile if a Gorilla subscriber see a neg review on my profile and my 2K+ score, without knowing anything about me, what do you think he's going to weight more? ———— you ended your other post with "focus on score integration and growth, not ct drama and clout chasing" solid advice, apply it

Every time @serpinxbt does one of these marketing stunts, it removes credibility from Ethos From when he copy-pasta review bombed 100+ KOLs simply for having their name on a list, which is entirely out of their control, to now slashing @Hydraze420 for being guilty by association to take away his "exemplary reputation" on the platform Feels like he'll throw anyone under the bus just to get attention to his platform As for the Hydraze slash, it failed Because it was under 40%, Serpin would have lost 320 points, stripping him of his #1 rank (on his own platform) However in the final hours, despite the loss being a lock, a few people changed their vote from defend to slash, pushing it over 40%, nulling any point-loss From what I've been told, Serpin reached out to a few people to get them to vote in his favor and protect his reputation, basically manipulating his own platform One that stands out is Buz (image below) He voted 3 days ago, writing about the slash not making sense So why did he decide the switch to slash in the last moment? IMO Serpin deserved the 320 point loss for this I know he'll say "if you feel that way, slash me" but the odds of a slash on the founder of the platform passing are near 0 I also don't care what someone's Ethos score is, so this isn't my war to fight P.S. I like the platform and think it's a good idea (and I want my airdrop), but this kind of stuff makes me not want to use it Focus on score integration and growth, not ct drama and clout chasing

Gorilla reacts to Ethos founder's "slash manipulation" sparks CREDIBILITY concerns "To me, this makes no sense, I think they manipulated their own platform to make sure that he doesn’t lose points, which is a really bad look for Ethos" "He wanted attention to the platform, he got it, but this is a horrible way of doing it"

This is the most challenging thing I've ever done as an entrepreneur. It is both the most gratifying and ego shattering experience. You think you got something great going on until you get grilled and/or get told what you are building is never going to work. Then you get back to it with a chip on your shoulder and build so that you can prove these people wrong. We got told no a lot, but we also got told yes by a group of people who truly believe in our vision and who want to see MYRIAD win. I am eternally grateful for the funds and angel investors who decided to take the leap of faith with us. Every single one of them, on the graphic or not, understand that we are building to compete and that will stop at nothing to win. Now it's time to accelerate.

I'll tell you an uncomfortable truth none of the influencers want to say Most of the life changing gains in crypto have already been made Many "bulls" have no choice and can simply never turn bearish for they aren't liquid enough or haven't yet reached their goals, and they see crypto as their only/last chance The lowest tier shitcoiners need to be bullish cause their only hope is a coming altseason that turns their 40 bucks into generational wealth, this is the loudest group on CT, their numbers are vast and they are the most desperate The highest tier of VCs, founders and their ilk have myriad illiquid investments that will only have exits if we have another bull run, they are forced bulls Both groups will perpetually scream "higher" regardless of their true feelings as a defense mechanism for their portfolios The ones calling for lower consistently are usually swing traders glued to their screens all day and short obsessed Burry wannabes who swear some financial collapse is afoot, also influencers who flip flop with every 4hr candle so they can quote themselves being "right" later Does this mean crypto is going to zero? Certainly not. Will we see new ATHs? Probably. The point of this tweet isn't to scare you but to show you how everyone here has some kind of agenda, and you shouldn't listen to anyone because their sentiment is echoed by many or because of their previous successes

If crypto continues to lead risk-on assets, I can't imagine a better bet to take than being exposed to PEPE with size [given the thick liquidity and esp if ETH continues to lead]. This thing can move fast and hard as we've seen countless times. Chart looks as "bottomed" as something could ever be. Elon is also integrating X marketplace very soon [coming April]. Highly confident that DOGE catches a bid regardless of everything else - just pure speculation on his historic obsession with DOGE. Blue chip memes double or triple. Flipside, what could go wrong? BTC necks and rolls over, cool. Everything in life is a risk and you must act when you believe things are favourable. Does crypto give a fuck about FOMC at this point? Did it give much of a fuck about nonstop Trump LARP headlines with Iran and Israel? We refused to break lower. Even the SP500 is unable to break lower because the Trump administration have elite supply control. I don't see why/how a Jerome Powell yap session does anything when the strength for our gay little market is clear as day. We're all gambling niglets anyway so NFA. DYOR. Affirm the parabolic candles before May. ~ Dr. Axius.
