We have resolved the issue preventing Steam players from acquiring their Deluxe Edition items. Please restart the Marathon game client and your items will automatically be available in the Customization menu. We'll also be gifting 150 LUX currency to everyone affected by this delay. Please restart and login to Marathon by Friday, March 6 at 9 AM PT and we'll deliver your LUX by Saturday, March 7 at 9 AM PT. Sorry for the wait and thanks for your reports!

Basically it adds people into your steam family and it benefits each other because some(most) games are shared across all members of a family So if one person buys x game Everyone in the steam family gets access to the said game Some games dont do this and require seperate purchases but many games do
