#CycloneFreddy has caused unprecedented levels of devastation in #Malawi. My #paediatric colleagues and I have seen unimaginable horror at QECH, Blantyre. The worlds most vulnerable being the most heavily impacted by #ClimateCrisis. And not being reported in global north.

Conflicted on this, on one hand moving from wood/charcoal is a good step. On the other hand, use of gas stoves is known to be associated with development of respiratory problems.

Today 100,000s of workers are striking for fair pay.
When Tory Ministers claim that public sector pay increases in line with inflation are unaffordable, that is a lie.
A Wealth Tax of 1.5% only on wealth over £5m would raise £16 Billion. That could easily fund it.

@krishgm Is there any way, independently and rationally, to figure out whether or not the Conservative’s real but unstated strategy is to run down the NHS in order to sell it off to become a privatised service. I’d like to see the analysis and evidence, not just accusations and rebuttals
