@Nebuk89 Would be amazing to have an observability dashboard where you can see the performance of all steps/workflows out of the box. Alerts on top would be a cherry on top.

Ironic now but I remember how in 2019 it really counted as a perk that some people could work 1 DAY / week from home, every week, approved by their manager. And it felt like a really big thing. How quickly things changed.

Struggling to figure out what I think about using register/resolve to do dependency injection. We’re increasing comfort for developers but risking runtime errors. When not using a registry we can make this safe by doing all checks on compile time. Am I missing something? 🤔

@Sommer In this case, it seems like a viable solution and might make coming up with designs easier! Also, we never considered or explored the LargeContentViewer support, so we will definitely look into that and incorporate that not only for the stepper, but also other views! Thank you!

@Sommer Thank you Sommer, that’s really helpful! We have implemented something similar to have an invisible larger touch target size for other components, but we felt like that is a hack, so we have been discouraging our designers and developers with coming up with this solution

Hey @Sommer while working with Stepper views and then running the accessibility audit we ran into the problem where we noticed the default UIStepper had a hit area smaller than 44px. I’m wondering should we be concerned with this what can we do here to make this more accessible?

We in turn had come up with a stepper that has the touch target size problem, and in this case we advised to turn and look at UIStepper and found it had a similar problem. Thus, we are thinking if Steppers are special cases, and what can we do to make them more accessible

We also advise to look at the default platform implementations if we want to build custom views, to get something very native and design specs that are already inclusive.

@simonbs Have you considered selling it also as a paid licensed SDK that developers can use to integrate the text editor into their own apps?

Still torn on the pricing model for Runestone. Part of me is like “This is the simplest possible text editor. Why would anyone even pay for this?” And then another part of me is like “I’ve worked on this in my spare time for over a year. It has to cost _something_.” 🤷‍♂️

@smileyborg @PatrickPoech @SammySmallman Hey Tyler, I’m wondering if the actual struct/view model was not supposed to be set in the DiffableDatasource and only an identifier, then developers have to still manually keep track of updates to the models and call reconfigure manually now correct?

@PatrickPoech @SammySmallman The confusion here is rooted in a misunderstanding about how diffable works and how to best use it (i.e. what an identifier is, and the implications of putting view model structs in diffable). I’m planning to put together a longer explanation to clear some of this up.

iOS 15 introduces a new way for you to conveniently update content displayed in existing cells in UICollectionView and UITableView: reconfigure. When and why should you use reconfigure? How is it different from reloading an item or row? Let’s dive in with a quick thread.
