I now type out the full date in words in emails because at last firm there was a HUGE blow up because it turned out three different dating conventions were being used and no one noticed until it became A Problem.
Doing this has covered my behind several times since.

CZ It makes total sense if you write the year first. 20260217 always sorts itself chronologically. Otherwise 17-02-2026 is just as useful/useless as 02-17-2026.

a suburban development of 100 houses will have something like 100 washers, driers, stoves, ovens, 20 pools, 20 home gyms, 20 garage workshops, 50 game consoles, etc. when that development would be fine with a community gym, kitchen, pool, workspace, laundromat, and game room.

Okay I'm going to do a little clip thread on a semi famous documentary called 'Empire of Dust' that shows what the Chinese are dealing with trying to industrialize Africa. In the Intro here you are seeing a 20 km stretch of road the Chinese are trying to repair. Our 2 main characters here are the head of logistics Lao Yang and his interpreter Eddy.
